@Bowley that’s ridiculous amount of time to wait! How have you been so patient?
I really hope they don’t do that to us. They ok’d my hubby’s income earlier this week (Self employed) and were looking at mine and MA said he was hoping to find out by today but hey they’re busy so another 3 working days 😢0 -
Bowley said:I’m still waiting on HSBC, have also been told they are behind on usual service times. This is week 5, moving in to week 6.Had no real update for 2 weeks other than they are busy. Got promised last week it would be reviewed by end of Thursday, then Friday was just told they’re behind. Tuesday was told because partner is self employed it has to go to a specialist team, regardless of whether he’s been affected by Covid or not (which he hasn’t and they were told that at the start) and that we should have an update by Friday. Not sure why it’s taken 5 weeks to be sent to this team? but never mind. I expect tomorrow the update will be that they’re still busy or further documents requested which will mean another 2 weeks of waiting before they’re reviewed.
Mine took 4 weeks almost and finally got my offer today...
Keep chasing them0 -
I'll join in the waiting game!
House went on the market Fri 5th June, and we accepted an asking price offer following the first viewing 2 days later. Offered on the new house the same day (had previously viewed it). Mortgage application was submitted yesterday to HSBC via habito. So now waiting to hear. I've been advised at least 5 working days to hear anything from them. Although I walked past the house we're buying today and a man was outside with a ladder taking photos of the property, and again 30 mins later when I walked back. I'm assuming that was the lender's valuation taking place.
I'm rubbish at waiting for things outside of my control. So impatient!0 -

Mortgage Application sent on Monday 8th June and have been asked about additional information twice. Thinking about they may come back another 2 days later and asking more. Why couldn't just ask everything at once?1 -
