11/02 - Application submitted
14/02 - Application approved subject to valuation
18/02 - Valuation took place
18/02 - Remortgage offer approved
Waiting for Enact now to send welcome pack via email.
Has anyone dealt with Enact before? I see 80% positive reviews, 20% bad ones on TrustPilot.
Mortgage broker said welcome pack will be sent via email within 7 days of approval (by 25/02 or hopefully before then).
If you used Enact do you remember how many days did it take you to actually receive the welcome pack?
26/02 - They sent a letter in the post detailing what docs they want me to provide, letter arrived a few days later
02/03 - I sent all the docs to them in a special devliery, it arrived next day
20/03 (Today) - Completed, funds received
Lender: BM Solutions
(Free) Conveyancer: Enact
Dealing with Enact was offline, I did not get any user/password since I was remortgaging an unencumbered property.

Going crazy here feeling like everything is taking forever.
My timeline (FTB - Scotland)
Offer made on home - 10/02/20
Offer accepted - 11/02/20
Applied for Scottish first home fund - 13/02/20
Additional info request by Scottish first home fund - 19/02/20
Approved for funding - 21/02/20 (3 months to conclude missives from this date)
Mortgage application made through broker to Nationwide - 24/02/20
Valuation booked and complete - 13/03/20 (Turns out the only surveyor in our area was on holiday hence the delay)
No other texts or news received since and I've read that people receive a text from nationwide when the valuation is recieved. We have contacted our broker who says the valuation has been completed and will be submitted in the next few days but just feel like no one is in a rush and we are starting to worry about the deadline for concluding missives as part of the first home fund!

mn92 said:Hi everyone,
I have been looking on this thread to understand waiting times for quite a while now. I have gone with a mortgage with Halifax and here is my timeline:
FTB’s in London using HTB
22/02 - viewed development and show home
09/03 - booked a plot by giving £500 deposit-Mortgage Advisor & Solicitor instructed
13/03 - Halifax mortgage and HTB applications submitted by our Mortgage Broker
13/03 - Halifax mortgage credit scored and approved. Within 1 hour of applying MA asked us to pay the £200 valuation fee to initiate the valuation process.
17/03 - Valuation report returned to Halifax
19/03 - We received our final mortgage offer from Halifax!!!
In total 6 days from application to offer! They are quick! I wish I could say the same for HTB. We are still waiting to hear from them and as you probably know there is a 20-working days delay currently in the process of assessing HTB applications...but I guess it's just a formality and everything will be ok with this too. Plenty of time to exchange contracts as the due date for that is 24th April. The house will be ready end of June and completion is expected for start of July (if coronavirus doesn't mess with our plans!)0
