Is anyone else waiting for the HTB application to be processed and sent to the solicitors? I got my mortgage offer this week! However the solicitors are waiting for an ‘ATP’ from HTB - apparently there is a huge delay in the HTB applications?!

Me. I got mortgage offer this week, but waiting for HTB to come through. I did notice on the reservation form my estate agent put almost a whole extra month down for the HTB to be completed by, which is something like 30th April....

So I guess that ties in what you are saying about delays.

Isn't the HTB loan a full gone conclusion. It's not like we need to jump through hoops to qualify.

    More than a 5% deposit - TICK.
Property must not exceed £600,000 - TICK.
    Obtain a mortgage - TICK.
    Clean Credit History - TICK.

How long have you heard the delay is?

I could do with a delay so that I don't end up paying my final months rent + mortgage in the same month.
well done on the offer, looks like we’re in the same situation. They’ve said the delays are all across England with all sorts of developments being affected (but not in a bad way)!. Yes your right there isn’t a whole load of loops to go through for it to be processed it should be absolutley fine. They’ve said it will be a couple weeks - apparently HTB switched to a new agent a few months ago who are behind on the applications- it could take from 21-30 days I would presume!

A pop-up appears on the HTB online application basically saying there could be up to a 14 working day delay with applications due to a change in the HTB appointed agents. Not ideal and I'm guessing the developers will be receiving requests to extend any initial dates because of this.

Sounds good to me. I'd rather they'd be more of a delay. I don't want to be paying rent and mortgage in the same month. Ideally I don't want to be moving into my new house until 15th April at the earliest.

My reservation form gave until 30th April to complete on the Help To Buy, so the broker/estate agent obviously knew there could be a big delay.

    Still waiting on offer
Don't want to instruct solicitors until offer accepted so don't incur non refundable searches. Getting nervous now.

Eak!!! Feels like a quick turnaround from last thursday, after all your stresses I hope you find out before then! My broker just emailed me and my heart lept, but it's because I sent across the unsigned document rather than the signed document on friday! What a muppet!!!
