Our mortgage aplication went to Kensington last Monday through broker. We have supplied usual documents such as bank statements, proof of depposit, id’s. Few days later they have asked for my p60 and few questions regarding our adult doughter as she is still on electoral roll. Valuation had been carried out on Tuesday just gone- now waiting for the offer.we were told by our broker offer to come through Friday or Monday. Stressful times!

Any news yet?! That seems super quick! I hope mine is going to be that quick! I've been told it should go through the underwriter by COP monday. This weekend is going to be hell for me, I think.

Do you know if yours went through underwriters before the valuation? Did your mortgage broker advise you when they got updated to say it was going for valuation?
They haven't asked me for P60 yet, but I have it ready for when they do. Might send it to my broker shortly, so they have it. I hope they don't question me too much haha! I don't think there is anything they need to be concerned about on my bank statements, except when me and my partner send money to each other regularly (Long distance relationship, so when he books flights I pay half and vice versa!!) We always write stupid things like "drug monies" pahahahha!

I've literally just this second heard from the broker. They've asked for extra details, P60 ETC. They've also asked for 3 months statements of the account where my deposit is held. I'm now REALLY nervous, because I had already explained to the broker that my deposit is held in a pier to pier savings scheme, and sent them the statement of available funds which are able to be sent across to the solicitors when it is time to close. That being said, a valuation has been ordered. No date yet.

I would be upset to boiling point, if after all this, my deposit source is not accepted. But on another note, does it sound like everything is good? I doubt they'd book the valuation otherwise!

    Hello,
Long term lurker here. Have tried to start the buying process a couple of times but life got in the way and various issues.
Anyway we are (fingers tightly crossed)
trying to buy our first family home. First time buyers.
Our timeline is a little different from most due to issues with our searches:
    14/12/19 - Offer accepted
    05/01/20 - Solicitor starts process
    20/01/20 - Searches begin
    11/02/20 - AIP Pepper Money
Then the environmental search flagged up possible contamination so it's been a fair few weeks of stress.
    05/03/20 - Mortgage application in.
Now we wait.. again.. it's been a long process already so feeling a little stressed.
Last year I sold my Dads flat when he passed away :( and it took 9 months!!!!(over 55 flat leasehold nightmare)
Hubby has not great credit hence Pepper Money.
So we are praying next week we get told the offer is just subject to valuation.
    Good luck to everyone else!

Edit**** forgot to add that Pepper got back straight away and asked us for 12 months worth of bank statements to show regular rent payment and a copy of our rental agreement.
So I'm hoping they have all they need. Felt like I gave them every single piece of financial paper I have!  :D

No news yet- we were told we will hear back before business close today- hopefully soon. I am so stressed 😩. Regarding valuation- our broker asked Kensington to assess all documents before they book valuation as its non refundable. I will let you know as soon as hear anything.

Only a few hours to go then!!! Hopefully!!
I haven't been told of any valuation fee. I assume different mortgage products have different "freebies"?
This is the most stressful wait I've ever had to endure and I only fully applied 2 days ago. I'm also waiting on University exam results though!!! I have NO nails left! lol

Is anyone else waiting for the HTB application to be processed and sent to the solicitors? I got my mortgage offer this week! However the solicitors are waiting for an ‘ATP’ from HTB - apparently there is a huge delay in the HTB applications?!

Me. I got mortgage offer this week, but waiting for HTB to come through. I did notice on the reservation form my estate agent put almost a whole extra month down for the HTB to be completed by, which is something like 30th April....

So I guess that ties in what you are saying about delays.

Isn't the HTB loan a full gone conclusion. It's not like we need to jump through hoops to qualify.

    More than a 5% deposit - TICK.
Property must not exceed £600,000 - TICK.
    Obtain a mortgage - TICK.
    Clean Credit History - TICK.

How long have you heard the delay is?

I could do with a delay so that I don't end up paying my final months rent + mortgage in the same month.

HTB application went in on the 25th Feb. Got told by the broker on Wednesday that the HTB agency is currently processing applications from the 11th Feb, so they’re a couple weeks behind. Got mortgage offer this week so it’s just the HTB I’m waiting on at the moment.

I guess there are different HTB 'offices' dealing with area specific HTB applications. I probably should check with my broker when he thinks my application will be approved.

My application got sent a day after yours (26th feb).
