Glad to hear that. Who have you applied for a mortgAge with again? And are you on talking / contact terms with your vendor?
We have a complicated history, so have gone with Pepper for our mortgage.
In a unique twist of fate, my husband actually works with one of the vendors - a fact we didn't know until we knocked on their door for a second viewing (I did the first viewing alone), so yes we're on speaking terms with them. Her partner is a builder, so we're looking at having some internal work done just before completion, which he's willing to do as well.0 -

Update .....
15.10.17: Viewed show home.
25.10.17: Applied to open international account with Barclays as it is a prerequisite to applying for a mortgage.
17.11.17: Reserved new build due to complete April 18.
21.11.17: Account finally opened.
05.12.17: Scheduled telephone mortgage appointment; contact choose to be unprofessional and not answer. Instead sent an email stating due to cross border rules and regulations they could not offer a mortgage. (Even though from day 1 we were very clear about my partners nationality and transferred 25k into the bank account they allowed us to open!).
05.12.17: Stressed what the hell to do now.
09.12.17: Spoke to mortgage advisor who was very helpful. Found us a mortgage packager.
13.12.17: Submitted all requested documents in the hope of an AIP.
21.12.17: AIP with NatWest International.
Christmas and New Year meant everything paused
08.01.18: Full application submitted. Requested more documentation.
09.01.18: All additional documents submitted.
19.02.18: Formal mortgage offer received!!
Extremely torturous wait but unusual circumstances meant it was difficult. I was told that it would be impossible for my partner to get a mortgage here in the UK (he!!!8217;s a foreign national) but I don!!!8217;t like being told something is impossible. If you have the will and a good broker then it can be done0 -

So, we have our A.I.P.... all good, shame our mortgage broker is a bit dippy and doesn't fill me with much confidence that everything is going to go smoothly, still.... fingers crossed and hoping and praying that it isn't too long or stressful til we get confirmation0

DIP from Halifax mid January based on 4.75x combined income.
Offer accepted on a house yesterday, mortgate would work out at just under 4.5x combined income.
IFA applying for AIP today (I thought AIP and DIP were the same thing, apparently not...) at which point he will advise where to apply.
Fingers crossed, we really want this house after exhausting the market (and our patience) where we are.
