I wonder if we will see a hard check? My broker didnt say a time just said hopefully it would be sooner rather than later.

Im only going off our applications and valuations being pretty similar times. I guess the broker has done you a favour. Sometimes the less we know the better otherwise may lead to disappointment.

We are almost the same dates as you. We had valuation on 16/2, requested bank statements on 20/2 and uploaded immediately yet still no offer

So we are moving house and have carried on using Natwest so we are porting our mortgage over. However we still had to go through a full application:

17/02: mortgage application over phone - passed and all docs uploaded onto their digital portal.

23/02: application indexed and with under writers

Valuation: no news yet!!!!! have chased today

Nothing further to report, seems quite slow to get the valuation booked? does it normally take this long?

Bit of a late update but I've received my mortgage offer on Friday 16th Feb with Nationwide, so from application to offer it has taken 16 working days.

Hi All

I have just checked my clear score credit report and can see when the DIP was done with NW its showing hard search, then on the 20th showing more soft searches by them, i had my valuation on this day first thing then they requested more wage slips, i feel happier now the searches have been done. hoping we hear something soon x

That’s good news! Relax now. Next day or two I am sure you will find out.

Just got an update from my broker. He said valuation was ok. They have okayed all the documents sent. Now they are underwriting and finalising an offer. I should hear today or tomorrow. Not going to hold my breath. I’ve been waiting a whole Month since this process all started with nationwide.

On the other hand my solictors have received draft contracts and started the searches today. So hopefully by the time the offer comes through I won’t be wasting anymore time.

Has anyone else started the conveyancing process while waiting on the mortgage offer?

Quick update before I do the school run in the snow!

Our mortgage offer has come through!! Now to give notice on our rented property, which I'm really looking forward to as the agent is a bit awkward to say the least!

Now to sort through 11 years' worth of stuff!!
