Had the text yesterday that we have a mortgage offer from nationwide!! :D

    15/3 Offer accepted on house
20/3 AIP gone through and full application submitted.
21/3 Valuation booked for 6/4 (Tenant moved out 5/4)
3/4 Broker reported that financials were fine and subject to valuation
6/4 Valuation completed and mortgage offer received.

Can't believe it was so quick only 2 1/2 weeks - Having a mortgage broker def helped everything along and supplying him with a little mountain of documents from the first meeting! :)
Swagbuckling since Aug 2016 - Earnings so far.. £55.

We are also in the process of buying our first home. These are the timelines so far:

    House viewed - 18th March
Offer put in - 18th March
    Offer accepted - 20th March
    AIP - 21st March
Mortgage applier via broker (Santander) - 22nd March
    Valuation done - 30th March
Mortgage Decision - Still waiting for a decision hopefully not that long now!

Anyone aware of how long Santander are taking to process applications?

This was my timeline with them
08/03 mortgage application submitted via broker
    14/03 mortgage valuation
    15/03 Santander requesting extra documents
20/03 mortgage approved. Offer in post!

    Good luck!

We've been waiting on tenterhooks for a response from HSBC. Went through 2nd stage Thurs before last, only on Saturday they asked for additional docs so we have sent those and am certifying my ID in branch today.

Anyone know generally how long after this HSBC take to make a decision? Obviously all cases are different, but it would be good to have a timeframe of some sort. :)

Ooh also do they call you with an offer or send it by post?

    Hello guys!!

I am joining the queue for "Awaiting Mortgage Offer". I have a 10% deposit to pay and would be applying for the mortgage for the remaining amount.

    Here is my timeline
    - March 13th 2017: Agreement in Principle (Principality Building Society)
    - April 1st 2017: Offer accepted on the house
    - April 5th 2017: Full application made through a broker. Money for valuation deducted from the account
    - April 10th 2017: In queue for the documentation to be assessed and would be done by end of day tomorrow. We will have an update if anything else is required.

So right now we are waiting for the valuation to be taken place which is the part I am MOST scared about. Because I already think we are overpaying for the property and I don't have more than 10% deposit. Fingers crossed! Hoping all goes fine. Please keep your fingers crossed for us. And I will do the same for all those waiting as well! :)

I will post an update as and when I receive them.
Home buying yet again!! Fingers crossed!!

Thought I would add our journey so far :)
    3/4- Viewed house
4/4- Offer accepted and DiP with Nationwide submitted (and referred)
5/4- DiP Accepted and full mortgage application submitted
    6/7- Valuation booked for 12/4

Excited but so nervous. First time buyers and clueless :rotfl:
Also, Nationwide have not actually requested any documents yet and none were listed on DiP either. So not sure why or when they will.
Good Luck all. I hope to post real soon with good news *crosses fingers and toes* :j

    Congratulations!
Still waiting and was told that Santander is taking longer than usual as the amount of work they have and probably because of Easter. Let's see. Fingers crossed

Full application into Santander on 10th April.....now the horrible wait and constant checking of the email inbox. Hopes are low to be honest. Too many threads include rejections for everything from using your overdraft to missed payments, to even having flawless track records. We'll see....

Looks like i might be waiting a while too...gah!!

Mine went to underwriters on the 5th...... To be honest, I'm not holding out much hope at the moment either. Far too many anomalies in my case. :(
