I didn't post here for a while but this was due to the conveyancing proces .
I would like to ask how long this process take for you?
I did receive some paperwork from my solicitor but he is still waiting for local authority search .

I don't have patient to grab my keys !

Why don't you ask your lawyer? Isn't that what we pay them for!

Yes I am pushing him every single day for news . But to be honest I am so impatient.
It's been only two weeks since he started . He told me it will take approx 3-4 weeks if there's no issues
How long your process took ?

My mortgage application was sent away last week and since then Nationwide have requested but different documents. Proof of deposit, bonus for 2 years, proof of child benefit etc. Then again yesterday they asked for information. Broker has advised hopefully by Friday I'll know. It's been such a long stressful process, but will be worth it if all ok. Do you think asking for different docs is a good or bad sign or just normal practice?! I feel like they're looking for a reason to decline it then again they're considering it that's the main thing! Just need to hope for the best

I'm moving into a new build that won't be ready until the 21st of April. So my lolyers have plenty of time to get everything ready
  • Hi RosyApple,

Just wanted to check did you need to provide 3 or 6months of bank statements to HSBC?
    Many thanks and well done!
  • Hi Plodding

It is 3 months bank statements for non HSBC current accounts.

Most recent must be within 7 working days if using online statements or dated within a month if hard copies.

I am a mortgage adviser with HSBC.

Hi all this is my first post, my application for a 30% shared ownership property has been approved by guiness, value of 30% share is £84500 I am putting down £29000 as a deposit and require a mortgage of £55500, my annual salary is £26775 and have a permanent job, I am single, no loans and credit cards, live with parents but desperate to move out and get my own place, I have got DIP from Halifax and offical official mortgage application has been submitted (halifax has already taken out £430 valuation money) i am really concerned as I have an un settled default of £2650 with barclays bank from December 2012, my mortgage broker seems confident but I am extremely nervous, can I get some valuable advise from respected members here. Many Thanks

    Hi everyone,

Me and my girlfriend are using the HTB, I have good credit history with no missed payments but my girlfriend had taken out a loan in her previous relationship of £500 for her ex boyfriend which he was paying, £295 had been repaid in the first few direct debits but when she broke up with him he stopped paying it. She only noticed this on her credit file when visiting the mortgage advisor (Stupid I know.) She has paid off the remaining of the loan in the last week. Our mortgage advisor did think NatWest would accept us and got positive vibes off them. We got accepted with a mortgage principal subject to underwriter. Unfortunately we got declined on full application last Friday. Our mortgage advisor suggested Precice and again we have been accepted with a mortgage principal. The full application has been sent yesterda morning. Our combined income is £55,000 and we are tier 3 with precise. I have been in my overdraft once in the last 3 months (xmas period) and have a car on finance of £327 a month. I also have regular amounts between £5 to £15 to betfair (betting app). Do you think we have a good chance? Thanks
