  • JoeT that is fantastic!!!!

We have heard very little which is obviously making me very nervous but broker seems to think this is normal/ I suppose it depends who broker deals with at Natwest etc and how busy they are. If it was something bad surely I would have been asked for more information or explanation or something or whatever....yes rambling now! :)

We did have the delay with the address check and then had to provide another pay slip and I think after you supply it you probably go back to the bottom of the pile...I don't know the mind could wander all kinds of places! :rotfl:
  • waiting for a decision from precise mortgage, I just wish they would tell me either way, I now know how everyone feels when they say its stress full,

Ive opened a thread if you fancy a read,

Just rechecked and there is a credit search showing from them.

There are two searched that they did for me, one of them is for identity/money laundering or something and another one just says 'Credit search'

Either way, good luck! Your AIP has been accepted so that is a good sign.
  • we will be joining this thread - eek
    offered/accepted 8th Feb
mortgage advisor meeting 10th Feb (has gone through projections in 2016 so we knew the ballpark mortgage wise)
because of the nature of the offer - solicitors instructed 9th Feb (and confirmation letters in post)

Really getting worried about everything I'm reading about natwest also how long people say they have been waiting for a decision ... I've been a natwest mortgage customer for over 14 years spread over three houses, I have no debt, no debt of credit cards ect as everything been paid back, never missed a payment on anything, the only negative I have is that I've lived in my overdraft.

I'm weekly paid if I was paid monthly it would have gone back into the black but being weekly paid has left me always being in the red it's agreed overdraft so have never gone outside of it but it's left me a bit nerves about the meeting, my wife went back to work recently after being a housewife for 12 years.

I was the single earner before and we are now coming 100% back into the black but having found the house of are dreams and willing to lay down 25% deposit, I've looked at my credit report and have 999 out 999 on Experian and 466 on Equifax it says uk average is 380 but I've seen people on here saying they have got rejected and they have the same good reports etc..

Going to natwest today to fill in for application having had AIP already done, just hope everything runs to plan and it sails through, as I've already passed details onto solicitor as we are using the same for are sale that was already going through. But having read people post maybe I should have just waited a little until I got over the full app hurdle

    My time line:
    08/02/17 - AIP Done
    08/02/17 - Viewed House
    09/02/17 - Offer Accepted
    13/02/17 - Full Application Submitted
    14/02/17 - Valuation Booked - Fee's taken
    16/02/17 - Valuation Done
16/02/17 - Asked for more info

    Fingers crossed.
  • Hi Royster - I instructed solicitors before the full app was complete, I just asked that they hold off on any searches until a) we have a decision and b) the vendor finds a suitable property!

I really don't think you can predict how they will be - JoeT has had a pretty smooth sailing whereas I have been waiting for quite some time for any sign of a decision, the valuation fee has been taken but not booked as far as I am aware! Try not to worry too much whatever will be will be!! :)
  • Been reading this forum for the last couple of weeks so decided to join in with my own update.

Mortgage application through a broken for Nationwide FTB HTB:

    DIP: 02/02/2017 granted without referral
    Full application: 10/02/2017
    Valuation booked: 13/02/2017

I'm hoping I get a valuation successful email and mortgage accepted email today some time, but that's probably wishful thinking :)

When I phone nationwide they said there is a 2 day delay in checking documents. They've only asked for 3 month's payslips so far. Hopefully it's a fairly simple case and goes through fine....one can always hope!!

Good luck to everyone else in this thread!

Apparently the decision for now is a 'managed decline' due to affordability. I should know more about what options there are in a couple of days. Was hoping things would be simple, but at least it's not an outright decline.

I just thought affordability was assessed at the DIP stage!
  • 31 Jan - DiP with Newcastle Building Society
04 Feb - Reserved new build house
09 Feb - Mortgage application submitted

And now the nervous wait begins...

The product I have applied for has no application fees and no valuation fees so I'll just have to await word from my broker.

Received text this morning to say valuation booked for Thu 16th Feb with eSurvLtd. Never heard of them, they're not local as far as I can tell, just hope they don't undervalue!

Just found out that this is the case due to MB putting my annual car allowance as monthly. Hopefully now that it's corrected it will be fine? Not sure how angry I should be just now hah
