Just a waiting game now I guess

After a rather restless week thinking what if, we received confirmation of Mortgage offer from Natwest today. Full marks to both natwest and broker for efficiency and communication.

5 Jan - full application made 90% ltv
    6 Jan - valuation
11 Jan - requested further 3 payslips (6 in total) from partner.
    13 Jan - offer received.

    Good luck everybody!!
  • We're waiting now on our mortgage decision. I'm impatient.

Applied yesterday, been told that they probably won't need a valuation done because the home buyers one is within 3 months and was done with a company that they are happy to use.

Affordability and credit check done yesterday and all was OK with that so I guess it's just waiting to see what the underwriters say and if they need any more clarification on anything.

    Eek.

This first time buyer stuff is stressful.
  • I'm starting the worrying wait to see if our mortgage application is approved, so far my timeline is

    03/01/17 1st Viewing
07/02/17 2nd viewing and AIP applied for
09/02/17 AIP approved and offer placed
    10/02/17 offer accepted
    14/02/17 Full application
    16/02/17 MA will submit application

We are applying to Coventry does anyone know what their process/turn around times are like? Our MA said they do the survey at the start of the process and they do a hard credit search when they approve for the AIP so hopefully that will help. We have been told that it should be within 11 days but from reading this post can see that it will probably take longer than that!
  • My time line so far
    6.12.16 DIP
    20.12.16 full application made
    22.12.16 survey fees paid
    3.01.17 survey carried out
    5.01.17 mortgage approved
12.01.17 mortgage offer with my solicitors

Since then nothing...they originally told me an expected completion date of approx 2 weeks (so by the 26th) but we have had nothing from the solicitors since. I hate waiting...
