    26/11 - Valuation booked for 27/11
    27/11 - Valuation Performed
28/11 - Halifax debit valuation fee
    2/12 - Offer received

I'm having to use Barrats' appointed solicitors because they want an expedited transaction (by 20/12) but I've heard NOTHING from them. ..... I'm not sure what happens next?

Allan, I can only tell you what I believe is true, so if I'm wrong, don't shoot me ;)

I can't see in your list anything about your solicitor doing the searches? So perhaps that still needs doing, though hopefully that is at least underway, though it only takes about 5 days I believe...

... then apart from that, the next step after the final offer should be the exchange of contracts... and making a date for completion :) I think you are nearly there, but what a pain not being able to get hold of the solicitors

    good luck!

........My only fear is what if our buyers pull out argh!....... QUOTE]

    Hi Suze,

It's a common worry that I think 99% of the peeps on here will be suffering

My buyer put their successful offer in, in September :( though they were only really ready maybe 2 weeks ago, but have had their contracts drawn up, and ready to sign since... it's a scary time indeed.

Good luck to you, and everyone out there with fingernails down to the flesh!!! :D

Ah, I know how you feel, but a good broker is worth their weight in gold, we couldn't use one in our case, but have wished nearly every day that we could have!!

    Good luck! :)

  • Hi everyone, my wife and I applied for a mortgage for 143,950 on Monday for a property of 160k, £16,050 deposit.

    Aip done 22/11
    Full mortgage app 2/12
Only docs requested were one months payslips
2 additional payslips of my wife march 2013, September 2013 as this is when she gets her bonus's (twice yearly).

Apparently I passed fine, they just have to check wife's bonus payslips?

Has anyone heard of this before? They haven't asked for any bank statements however the mortgage adviser has for her records.

    Thanks in advance!!

    James

Submitted the new payslips and signed all paper work from the mortgage adviser today, fingers cross will hear tomorrow!

    I have to ask....

My buyer and seller are ready to sign contracts.

We are (sadly) having our valuation and HBS done on 11/12/13 ...and here's the sad bit, by e.surv.

e.surv has recently told us we won't receive our HBS report for 5 weeks after that date, which we are not going to wait for grrrr

Santander have told us that, due to our case taking longer than expected, and a couple of week- long -delays due to problems internally, (and due to us complaining) that they will expedite the usual 72 hour turn around for our offer, and also the release of funds.

Our solicitor is geared up for this, all searches are in.

Is it possible for exchange, and then complete with a deadline of Wed 18th/Thurs 19th December?

I don't expect anyone to be able to magic my worries away, I know every case is different, but just maybe tell me what the possibilities are, once the mortgage offer is received?

    Thank you :)
