Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

'm getting a bit worried now...from being told the issues were sorted 3 weeks ago today and hoping we could reapply for the mortgage and it be a fairly swift process...our broker told us 2-3 weeks. It has now hit another hitch! We have to have a structural survey done on it. There is settlement in one of the rooms, and whilst this didn't concern whoever did the original valuation on behalf of Nationwide, it's now concerned this person who did the valuation this time. I'm so frustrated...I phoned a company recommended by the broker, only to be basically yelled at on the phone because I didn't have access to the report I could only tell her what I knew. I was heartbroken, and in tears...I keep panicking that Nationwide wont give us the money now
. On top of that family goes away soon, and I'll have my parents house to myself which in itself is worrying me...because I go back to work next Thursday...probably still mortgageless!
That's not good news at all! Was hoping I would check this post and it would have been all sorted for you! Stay positive though! It's definitely worth getting a structural survey/building survey anyway - we just received ours back and all fine luckily! Now just waiting for the solicitor to sort everything else out. Research on google some local surveyors rather than broker recommendation. We found ours on reallymoving.com and they were really good - happy with the report and wasn't too expensive for the survey! If you need any help, let me know or DM me! Got my fingers crossed for you and hope it all goes okay!I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Update: I have to say I never want to go through this again, after a few more requests from Natwest we finally got our offer for the full amount! The ATE from Help to buy came through yesterday and we have now exchanged contracts so just waiting to complete, The whole process has taken a little under 4 weeks and i must say the most stressful 4 weeks of my life! Even though i'm at the stage i'm at I won't fully relax until the keys are in my hands!!0

Good news on your offer!!
On this end, the Natwest adviser emailed me today to say he has a call with the underwriter at 10.30am, so we will have a decision then. Is a call with the underwriter normal?
Very nervous, expecting a no! Got a broker on standby.

Yeah mine called the underwriter a few times to find out whats happening and after a few requests from them finally got the offer.
I was also very nervous and expected a no but all turned out ok, fingers crossed for 10.300 -
Declined. So we have a broker on the case. Apparently because i'd failed the credit score, their criteria would have been having a 60% LTV and having long standing business accounts or something.
Back to the drawing board. I hope the sellers don't get itchy feet during this wait.0 -

Not meaning to be negative but if the credit score failed can a broker do much about that? The credit score comes from the credit reference agencies so pretty much out of anyones control. I initially tried with my partner but ended up having to apply on my own as she failed the credit score as well.
Hope you work something out.0 -
Hello all, posted on this thread a few weeks ago as we awaited our decision. Happy to say that after much lost sleep, TSB have come through with a full offer.
Our broker were very good but I don't think TSB were being entirely clear about their processing time-scales for underwriting which did cause some frustration.
Long story short, if anyone's waiting for a decision from TSB, don't lose hope, they do make a determination in the end. Happy to share more details of the TSB process if anyone would find it helpful.
