Wooo yeah!! Broker just called - Santander have emailed him. The valuation was done yesterday and they're happy so we're approved - mortgage offer will be with us within three days!!

19/11 - application submitted by broker
22/11 - Santander initial team requested fresh copies of some docs
25/11 - Santander completed our file and passed it to underwriting
26/11 - underwriters approved us, passed on for valuation to be booked
    28/11 - valuation carried out
29/11 - verbal confirmation of approval
Should receive offer in post by 4/12

I'm slightly sceptical as to whether Santander actually did their valuation or just charged us £490 for it and approved us anyway as our LTV is so low! (Unconvinced as it happened so fast). But in any event I'm not complaining. :D

Depends what area you are, but it took 11 days for Santander to get a valuation on the house I'm buying. congratulations.. fun times ahead :)

I need to find out when valuation is booked for, our development isn't open all week so they had to take opening times.

Valuation booked for 11th!!! 2 and a half weeks! It's putting my exchange date of 20th at risk.

Hoping I can get an extension, although I'm not sure as they've just put the same house opposite up for £10k more. So as looking like missing their year end figures (think 20th is last day they can process paperwork for it to count in 2013), personally I can see them putting it back on the market at the new price.
  • Exchanged at last! Completion set for Monday :D x
