    Here's my timeline so far;

15/11 - View House (New Build)
    16/11 - Reserved House
18/11 - DIP Received from Halifax
25/11 - ATP Received from Orbit for Help To Buy - Equity
    26/11 - Valuation booked for 27/11
    27/11 - Valuation Performed
28/11 - Halifax debit valuation fee

It's all happening very quick from what I've read of others' experiences, I'm just wondering if Halifax debiting the valuation fee is any indication of approval or simply it is what it is - paying for a valuation.

    Similar to us:

    16th November Reserved
    21st November Valuation fee taken
22nd November Mortgage app submitted to Halifax by broker
    25th November HTB ATP received
    27th November Solicitor processing ID

I need to find out when valuation is booked for, our development isn't open all week so they had to take opening times.
  • Hello hello hello from a Newbie and long time lurker!!!

Firstly thanks to everyone in this forum who has posted, I've taken a lot of pointers and tips from here throughout the process!

As a FTB it has been invaluable!

After about 12 months of looking, 4 properties being offered on but being pipped to the post by cash buyers, or people with more money than sense, I finally had an offer accepted last week!!! :j:j:j .....and now the real fun begins eh!?;)

Going in to the Halifax today to sort out paperwork for full application!

    Exciting times!

I'm hoping that it will be a straighforward chain as there are only 2 properties/3 parties involved; the property I'm buying and the property my vendor is buying is vacant!

Fingers crossed for a smooth purchase?!
  • All been a bit of a whirlwind for me really, applied for a 95% 3 month ago withy local b/s, declined as is an ex council house, so left it and thought it had sold, found it on another site still for sale, applied through a broker again last thursday, acepted monday and survey done and back all ok yesterday, 95% with Halifax which are aparrently very hard to get. Good luck to everyone else.
