I don't know to be honest I'm fuming lol being told different things by Woolwich and broker.

I don't think that a valuation has even been instructed. The broker is telling me literally the opposite story of woolwich

I hope you have a better experience!

Oh no! Have you been waiting a long time? Fingers crossed you hear something soon!

Well after having our offer accepted last Friday, application started same day but had trouble getting an sa302 but that came this morning and has been forwarded on to our MA. Valuation was due to be completed today by nat west. So just waiting now. Worrying times lol
  • Found out today that ours now will not be looked at til middle of next week. I could cry! So frustrating and I'm going to have no nails left soon!!!
  • Hi...
We applied through a broker to Woolwich at the start of March. All told all will be fine no problems they have already checked underwriting.
So.. They rang the following week (had full application in for 1 week) and asked for future documents. I sent them. The following week asks for exactly the same so I send again, another week passes and they ask a third time!! I was then told its all been 'approved'.
The following day we got. A call saying it was declined as we have too many credit cards. We have 2 with combined debt if 8k on a joint income of 65k. Woolwich bloody awful!

We have since reapplied with natwest. In the space of 1 week we had been approved pending valuation and valuation has now been complete 10 days after application. Just waiting for the outcome then fingers crossed get our offer!!! 😁😁

After a small blip with the valuation, we received our mortgage offer on Friday. If there hadn't been a delay of two weeks to get a survey booked due to the stamp duty rush then the application would have been a lot quicker.

Accord seemed very efficient although there were a couple of underwriting queries where I am glad we had a good broker on our side.

    £500k flat 80% LTV. No chain. 3 x salary.

    AIP 22/3/16
    Mortgage app submitted 22/3/16
Paid for valuation and arrangement 22/3/16
Extra bank statements and accountant reference requested 29/3/2016
Valuation booked for 8th April. 31/3/2016
Valuation returned ok but sent for audit due to lack of comparables 8/4/2016
    Formal offer received. 15/4/2016

This makes me very nervous! :( Our broker but in an application to Woolwich at the end of last week and both my partner and I have credit card debt and earn less than you! Hopefully the fact we have a 15% deposit and are only borrowing just over 3x times our joint income will go in our favor. Can't face the thought of waiting for 6 weeks only to then get declined :(

We are still waiting for our valuation to be sorted, apparently they are waiting for the vendor to confirm access details. I hope they sort it soon, waiting is making me anxious!

Our valuation has finally been booked for today. Waited over a week!

Said the lender will have a decision in 72 hours.

We had an email from our vendors estate agents today saying that the last person in our chain has stipulated a 28 day exchange and is that something we can work to? No Idea if it can be sorted this quickly. I've just emailed my solicitor for advice....
