I've applied about 7Days back with Barclays, all my documents are in order and now my mortgage adviser tells me its been picked for an internal audit with the bank. They are not able to give me a time line when it will come out of the audit queue.

Anybody experienced a similar issue ?

    Thx
  • So it turns out we won't find out today - apparently takes up to 4 working days so probably going to be next week :(

Don't know why broker was so sure we'd hear today when we haven't.

I can't cope with the stress lol it's horrible!

I just got a call from legal and general as Halifax had supplied my details to them. Does that mean we are close to having the mortgage agreed?

Not sure what legal and general have to do with your mortgage offer or why Halifax passed on your details to them - can you expand? I've successfully been through a mortgage application with Halifax recently, and did not experience this.

Mortgage approved subject to valuation last Thursday - still waiting for valuation to be booked in. Vendor is being a bit awkward because they want to be present for it and work. A bit annoying, mortgage broker originally said it would be booked in between 24/48 hours.

    Hi guys!

    Start my time line.
2nd Feb - DIP from Halifax
17th Feb - See house for the first time
18th Feb - STC with another offer
30th March - Offer falls through and our offer on another house not accepted
2nd April - both view again
4th April - make offer of full asking price
7th April - start application process with Halifax (but due to DH work payslip issues put off to ensure everything is in place before app starts)
13th April - App done with Halifax - accepted and valuation fee paid. Will be instructed shortly!

Fingers crossed as the poor bloke we are buying off has been messed about for 5 weeks before we offered.

    Paid off all Catalogues 10.10.2014

    Hi everyone,

Thought I would join in with this. We had our offer accepted on Monday and submitted our full application to Halifax yesterdat which was approved subject to valuation (although online our application currently just says submitted - should I be worried?) hoping we will hear about valuation today.

How do you check it online? We haven't been told that , although maybe it's because ours is through a broker?
