Hi all guess I'm joining here!
Had our AIP from Halifax 4 Feb- were very nervous as I have a default from 3.5 years ago for £58 but this was accepted.
Found our house last week and had an offer accepted. Have a 30% deposit and have accepted an offer on our house.
Our broker collected all our documents and said he was going to start the ball rolling today - the valuation fee has come out of the account already, is this normal Practice so soon? They couldn't have credit checked us yet (still worried about a decline obviously)
Thanks for any advice you can give me x0 -
Applied to Natwest. Valuation fee of £198 taken out of my account yesterday. Does this mean the underwriters have approved subject to valuation?0

I am sure I have read the Halifax instruct the valuation as soon as application submitted0

Thanks - yea I think you are right. I'm now obsessively checking my experian report to see if anything has happened lol0

Lol yep same boat I am literally checking my emails every 10 mins no post again today so no further news. This is most stressful time of my life and I have kids!!!0
-
Yep! Me too! Once the application is approved I'll relax a bit more about the rest of it. Having a partner with impeccable credit leaves me in fear my default will get us refused. Took us so long to find this house going to be devastated if it's my fault we lose it. Warfgghhhh hurry up. God it's only day one! Lol0

According to our MA our Halifax mortgage has just been accepted! How can this be if it only went through today?? Obviously pending valuation etc0

Awwww kellsm that's fantastic news must be a huge relief, congratulations0

Thank you I'm amazed! I think our broker just had all his ducks in a row and didn't mess around. He's on holiday next week so said he wanted to get it sorted quickly! What a guy0
