Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

No problem. I really hope it is Tuesday. Can't take much more of it!
Cake is always a good decision.
If it was me, I would walk away if the work wasn't going to be done. It isn't worth the stress in the long term. You ideally want something you can move in and enjoy straight away.
Be careful with the other one you've found, make sure you find out the true reason why it previously fell through. Hopefully it was a funding issue and not another damp issue. Could end up spending a fortune in surveys.
Yep, if the lender doesn't put any restrictions on mortgage (like I said, I really can't see that happening) but if all was ok then we we find out cost and if only say £2k to get work done fine we'll do it. If the do put restrictions on mortgage were just going to tell vendor and leave it with her. If she's not prepared to get work done we're walking away. We're not/won't do any work on a property we don't own. this was picked up on the basic valuation by the bank so We're pretty sure that anyone else that wants to buy it will pull up the same problem.
To be honest, I'm at the point now where I'm not bothered if lender puts retention on mortgage, as least I know we can get one.
The other we will be asking why sale fell through. We won't be doing any surveys until valuation has been done either.0 -

Hi
I'd like to join if I may.
We had a AIP done a few months ago before we started looking, so we knew what we could afford. Found somewhere and put offer in. Mortgage application done 22nd August and survey booked for this week, almost 2 weeks after it was requested. Combination of vendor and surveyor availability.
My advisor is not back to work until 14th September so nothing will happen before then. I have a follow up appointment with her on 15th so hope to hear then on what's next. At least the survey should be done by then and hopefully the survey will have been done on our house by then too.Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683
Total £8601 Was £393020 -
Broker has just informed me that our Homebuyers Report has been booked for 14 September! Although that is two weeks' away, I am glad it is all booked up. That means my full application would have taken about five weeks (assuming I hear back on the valuation and receive an offer in that week). I am refusing to get stressed about this process any more, what will be, will be (although I am secretly keeping everything crossed that it all goes well!).0

Looks like I should join this thread
Offered on a house on thursday, got MIP done while waiting for decision, offer accepted. Full mortgage application meeting with our broker tomorrow. So stressed about the affordability checks, even though everything should be ok.

Good luck with the survey.

Have you got login details to access your application? Hopefully you should know results of your survey before then. Our lender used countrywide and we got login details sent in an email to look at valuation..0
