  • Hi all!

I wish to join in if that's ok! my progress so far has been very long winded.. myself and my partner tried to get an AIP however due to not great credit we only can do it in my name and a 15% deposit is required!! However had an offer accepted today and I start the full application on Tuesday. However the lady selling the property is awaiting probate so hopefully shouldn't hold us up too long. so exciting!!

I've just applied for a mortgage yesterday with Halifax via a broker. It's all been accepted and valuation paid for and booked for next Friday. So, what stage am I at? Am I just awaiting the valuation for approval?!

I had a text from my broker to say my offer is in the post!!

So after applying for a mortgage on 18th September, a valuation on 26th september, our mortgage offer arrived today! Great work halifax!
  • We've finally exchanged on our new build today. Build completion estimated for the end of the month and legal completion early to mid November! :T

We first saw the site and expressed interest in April, but now the end is in sight

After a few stumbling blocks (expired home report) we finally have our mortgage offer. Taken ages (application was put onto the system on 20th August!!) But the broker has received confirmation and the application tracker shows that it has been granted.

Hopefully move on 1st Novemeber. Can't wait!!

Offer accepted on house - 27th September
AIP repeated. 15% deposit required - 1st Oct
Full mortgage application - 1st October

Received first lot of info from solicitors today! becoming real however I know there's a long way to go!
  • Phew! At last my mortgage offer from the Halifax has finally arrived at the second time of asking. The first one hadn't arrived a week after it was posted so I was starting to get a bit worried, especially when my solicitor's copy hadn't arrived either. It's here now though so i'm a very happy man : )
