Thought I'd join in too, as I've been reading this thread over the last few weeks

I'm a FTB, single and I'm self employed

16th August = AIP approved with Post Office
18th August = offer accepted on property
20th August = full application done online and valuation fees paid
22nd August = documentation requested from PO

10 days to get relevant documentation from HMRC! Then a long wait to get homebuyers report and valuation, there has been a 2/3 week waiting list in our area!

24th Sept = valuation and home buyers report took place

Now waiting details of above! Not sure how long this will be, I'm not a very patient person.

Keeping everything crossed now, hoping to get the ball properly rolling, I'm thinking it's going to be November before i move

    Hello

    Our position is

17 June AIP Accepted from Nationwide

25 June Offer accepted on House but had to wait until 9 August for full application because using Save to Buy - whilst waiting Nationwide recieved my employer reference and payslips etc.

9 August Full mortgage application done

so now we are waiting on the homebuyers report which will be carried out on Friday 23rd August

We are on holiday from Monday 26 August to 10 September and we need to receive mortgage offer before the 17 September as DIP runs out.

If Nationwide have arranged the valuation which is booked in for Friday 23rd should there be anymore obsticles which could pop up, are Nationwide likely to want anymore payslips or anything?

    any help/advice would be great
    thank you

Just an update on the above....

We exchanged last Friday and have a completion date of Friday 27 September.... its getting near
  • Broker has just called to say that the valuation was all fine and that the offer should be out before the end of the week.

I'm not getting too excited just yet, but things are at least noving along :)

Mortgage offer received today, very speedy, not sure what's next now... Just the waiting game I suppose! Exciting. Not sure how long it will all be now
  • Can't believe it. My broker has just told me that my mortgage offer has been made. _party_

Full application went in with Skipton on the 7th and offer received 26th.

I used Which? Mortgage Advisors and they have been brilliant - well worth the fee.
