my completion is set for monday- proper nervous hoping nothing goes wrong on monday morning

am just worried what certain posts here said, that they can pull the offer even after exchange. makes me wonder how comes as that way ill make a loss on 10% deposit thats already paid to vendor solicitor

Just wondering from the guys who have completed so far, how long from getting your mortgage offer did it take to get the contracts exchanged?

My valuation took place two days ago, hoping to get offer early next week.

Quick update from me!

recieved a letter from West Brom asking for more info on my wife's income - we had said she earnt £28k pa, but after getting the last p45/p60 it was closer to £33k pa, and to prove that we had lived in the hous over the last two years. Sent the relavent tax forms and explanation plus council tax bills and utility bills (This is theonly thing I can think of to prove we've been there)
Had valuation on wednesday, and letters from their solicitors (free legal work) including a questionaire and asking for proof of identity.

So far its taken 3 weeks the current fix ends next month. Hopefully the valuation will come through (though according to Zoopla the house next door is worth £15k more than ours is - odd when they are virtually idenitical including decor etc.

Waiting with baited breath.............

I am still waiting to exchange even with no chain! The seller seems to be dragging his heels :mad:

Just checked the Skipton online mortgage tracker and it says that valuation was instructed on Friday and the valuation is due a week today (23rd) so I am hoping that this means I have passed the income verification & bank statement review type stuff.

I am not liking this waiting game at all :sad:

Broker has just advised that Natwest have now confirmed they have the valuation and will be assessed within next 48hours, the valuation was done last Monday ( apparently it was lost in transmission ) and I dont like the waiting, also still waiting for my homebuyers report.

20/08/13 - 1st viewing
21/08/13 - AIP from Accord (through broker)
24/08/13 - 2nd viewing
27/08/13 - offer accepted
02/09/13 - broker coming to see us to do full application
05/09/13 - solicitors instructed
16/09/13 - all original requested documents sent off to solicitors
16/06/13 - email from mortgage advisor, valuation has come back at offer price!! :j:j:j

Sales memorandum from EAs state expected Exchange, 21/10/13 and expected Completion 28/10/13. We have stated in sols info for both to be a week later, however I think both are a bit ambitious, but we will see!
