Funny enough we had the exact same thing today! we have been told ours has been underwritten they just need the ID again so hopefully it is all good!
Fingers crossed for you, and I that's all they need and then offers will be sent out.
I have aged in this last week stressing about getting approved, or declined.0 -

Hi
We're eagerly awaiting an outcome! We reserved our new build two weeks ago tomorrow when we received a DIP via our broker.
Application went in 17/02
Surveyors phoned developers on 18/02 to book valuation
Experian credit report shows 5 credit checks by Halifax on 18/02
Valuation is on 24/02 (this Monday)
Keeping everything crossed we have good news next week! It's torture waiting!0 -
Hopefully going to be joining the waiting soon after a rather fraught experience so far. Went to Barclays with my partner to do first consultation and failed their checks. This turned out to be because Lloyds bank had not fully closed a loan account correctly. I had called them to pay it off in full in 2013 and they had only partially settled it. Account was defaulted on 2010 due to some financial issues. I thought it had been paid in full and was showing as satisfied in my credit file. Much delays and hair pulling whilst I paid the outstanding £382 and waited for a letter from them to say this has been done. This was submitted to Barclays on Thursday and is currently with the underwriters to review. Lady at Barclays thinks there will be no problems once they update the system and remove the 'lock'
We are booked to see them again on Wednesday and submit the full application. We have a joint income of £45k with another £11k in commission/bonuses. No debt. Partner has squeaky clean credit record, I have this one default from 2010. DMP completed in 2013.
Deposit of £117k, offer accepted on £300k property. Crossing everything.0 -
So blooming nervous. My OH and I applied for a mortgage with Santander for a first time buyer with help to buy. Pass the Santander checks, credit checks and AIB, feeling good.
Last night we see a house, and have offer accepted by vendor. Call bank and they arrnage for us to come in. I thought to " go ahead ". Alas after sometime, signing paperwork, leaving payslips, bank statements, it has gone to the "underwriters".
So my elation of finding a house, has now turned into nail biting. I have a few credit cards, no late payments since 2009 - tiny overdraft of £50 - but still feel really uneasy. Had PDL well over a year ago, a default which dropped off last year. So I guess we should be OK. Right?
Am I just worrying for no reason?!?0 -

18/11/14 Employment questioned and more enquiries raised with the broker. (I am an IT Umbrella Contractor). I don't even know what possible can they require as I have given all the documents under the sun and according to their own criteria, the employment should be ok.
27/11/14 Mortgage offered. It would have been much harder(if not impossible) without the brokers.
Good luck everyone !
If I have learned anything is:
- use a broker for anything but straightforward cases. You are buying immense amount of expertise and relationships.
- be persistent. It look me 100s of emails and phone calls over 6 weeks. I am glad I didn't give up.
- Oh, yeah ... in spite of all the negative reputation that EAs have I was lucky enough to have a helpful and honest EA that helped a lot with chasing the sellers solicitors. A true outlier0
