I can start my timeline so here goes
11/12/14-AIP via broker with Santander
14/12/14-Offer accepted on property
18/12/14-FMA with broker
I am in a chain of three, FTB purchasing my property, I am buying a property with no onward chain.
Two things to worry about, the first is my buyers pulling out and the second is getting approved for this mortgage!
That sounds a bit like my scenario. My buyer needs to complete on buying my house by end of Jan or she will pull out apparently. She has been waiting for quite a while, bless her.
It is so stressful!0 -
Hello,
I have put an application in to The Post Office for thier 2 year fixed at 2.95%. I put the application in via London and Country and had the offer of loan through the post today to sign - does that mean I have been accepted?
I am so nervous with all of this!
Thanks,
xx0 -
We also had valuation before the offer (subject to valuation) I only know this from money being taken from my account and a call from the sellers EA saying that a surveyor is going round.
So my timeline update:
10/11/14 house goes on market
14/11/14 offer accepted on ours
20/11/14 put offer in on new house-rejected
21/11/14 new offer submitted - accepted
24/11/14 first contact with L&C
27/11/14 mortgage decide (post office)
01/12/14 application submitted AIP given (I think) valuation fee taken
02/12/14 surveyor coming to view ours for new owner
03/12/14 Post Office required documents for underwriter
05/12/14 Valuer going to view property for mortgage
10/12/14 Valuer values price at asking price
19/12/14 News from broker that the offer has been produced today and is in the post. :T
I am in good spirit right now. In the hands of the Solicitor Gods now though!!!0 -
I'm going to my mortgage broker tomorrow to try and get a full mortgage offer and I'm absolutely terrified!
My timeline so far is as follows
08/12/14-AIP via broker with Santander
18/12/14-Offer accepted on property
20/12/14-FMA with broker
I am a chain free FTB and the property I'm trying to buy is also chain free.
As this is all so new to me I'm freaking out a bit! I really hope all goes ok with the full application!!!!Paid off my debts, saved up my cash and now I'm finally buying my own home!0 -
Really not sure where I am at the terminology is all a bit much for me.
We're going for a New build Shared Ownership property (part rent, part buy)
Main dates are as follows but we have been in lots of talks about mortgages, doing proof of income, ID etc and what shared ownership means for us
03/12 - Viewed house
09/12 - Paid reservation fee
10/12 Mortgage agreed/Paid valuation fee
12/12 Instructed solicitor
(for 15/12 - post Mortgage declaration)
So I'm not sure what is next
House wont be ready until possibly mid-Feb 2015
20/12/14 - Mortgage offer and valuation done
All in the hands of the solicitors nowSealed Pot Challenge - #462
I used the Thanks button as a Like button too0 -

Could not be happier with the service offer by NW.
To put this in context
Joint income - 42k
Mortgage for £107100 - 90% LTV
debt total - £1500 approx
Good credit rating
Hopefully exchange will go just as smoothly now
20/12/14 - Mortgage facility agreement received this morning
Just under 2 weeks from start to finish.
Going to move to the 'waiting to exchange' thread0 -
I did my full application with my broker today. She seems completely confident that it should all go through without any issues based on our circumstances, but did warn that it could take up to 3 weeks to get the offer through due to the Christmas period
It's gonna be a painful wait if that is the case.
Paid off my debts, saved up my cash and now I'm finally buying my own home!0 -
Hi everyone,
Feel like a can join this group now although ive had the worst 3 months application with nationwide through sequence!
My NEW time line....
18/12/14 DIP accepted with Halifax £287000 45% LTV
18/12/14 FMA This time with an independent broker NOT in house at barnard marcus!
19/12/14 Documents requested sent and paid for valuation....
Now the anxious wait begins again!
I used to love week ends.... but since applying for a mortgage.... I hate them because of the waiting! lol0 -
Hi everyone,
I haven't seen many (recent) timelines for people using Leeds BS. I've read some horrendous reviews since applying, which seems to be when they were inundated with applications earlier in the year and it seems like they have their act together somewhat now..
I'm a FTB buying a new build using Help To Buy (Wales).
25/11/2014 - DIP with Leeds BS
27/11/2014 - Help to buy application submitted and passed same day
05/12/2014 - Full application submitted to Leeds BS
13/12/2014 - Additional proof of address (3 years) requested as I am not on the electoral
18/12/2014 - Surveyor sent
22/12/2014 - Survey received. Will go to final checks in ‘2-3’ days apparently
I'm hoping the fact they sent out a surveyor and the survey is free with the package I have applied for suggests I am very close to a mortgage offer..It seems like it would be a waste of money for them to do valuations before going through a decent amount of underwriting first.
It's only been 11 working days (not including the day submitted) since full application but it feels like an age!0 -
I can start my timeline so here goes
11/12/14-AIP via broker with Santander
14/12/14-Offer accepted on property
18/12/14-FMA with broker
I am in a chain of three, FTB purchasing my property, I am buying a property with no onward chain.
Two things to worry about, the first is my buyers pulling out and the second is getting approved for this mortgage!
Update...
11/12/14-AIP via broker with Santander
14/12/14-Offer accepted on property
18/12/14-FMA with broker
22/12/14-Mortgage approved subject to survey
Really quick turnaround so very pleased. Having massive concerns about my buyers potentially pulling out, I accepted their offer at the beginning of November, the last my solicitors heard was mid November and that was that they were waiting to have their mortgage approved. I haven't had anyone come around for a survey/valuation and it has been over a month so I am very concerned about this.0
