I am fuzzy bear. Who would have thought I would be grateful for Monday to come round. Well my valuation is booked today, very nervous this end. I had a very stressful week last week with sorting out the valuation and chasing because people were dialing the wrong number for the estate agent, ARGH!!!!! Fingers crossed for today.0

Halifax are refusing to budge and want to see the following:
Statement from my partners dads account showing the gifted deposit funds
Statements from any accounts that he transferred money from to make up the deposit
Statement from out account showing the transfer of the funds from his account.
Three weeks and they are still asking for more information!
We have 50% of the deposit in savings which we showed them and we are saving the other 50% before completion as its not built until June.
We were told by the mortgage advisor that my partners dad can just write a letter saying he is gifting the other 50% just to satisfy the lender but just our luck they have asked to see proof!!
Without sounding harsh I'm not sure there's much you can do. It sounds like mortgage fraud and I can't see the lender changing their mind. Surely all lenders require proof of deposit before confirming an offer?
Can't you just wait?0
