Mortgage documents arrived. Wrong house number on the paperwork...
They had put the selling price in as the house number. Which is about 129 houses in the wrong direction.
I'm just glad I noticed. Valuation paperwork has the correct number on at least, so they went to the right house to value it!
Spoke to broker, new paperwork will be on the way.
It's all fun and games, isn't it?!
Revised offer document received in the post yesterday.
Now the correct house number.
But now the wrong postcode...0 -
Kim, there are no signs, each case is different.
In my case valuation fee was taken on 08 Sep. Halifax
Then my file got pulled out for random internal audit.
The audit team gave a go ahead on 24 Sep.
The valuation is booked for today 26 Sep.
I will say it is better if the file is pulled out for internal audit so early rather than a day before complation.
I have heard from others ( in the forum) that generally valuation is instruted when underwriting is done.
Taking out fund for valuation has no significance.
Thanks asjBut I didn't think taking the funds was a good sign, I meant if the valuation is instructed.

This may sound like a stupid question/ something that's been asked a million times before BUT... if the bank take the valuation fee and the valuation has been instructed, is this a good sign?
I'm at my wits end worrying about getting rejected at full app stage.
I feel exactly the same! Our valuation has been done on Wednesday, still waiting to hear something! Anything!!0 -
Hi
Dip with precise August
App 4th sept
Paperwork requested 12th sept 12 items
19th sept another 10 documents some of which had been lost via email to precise
22md meet broker again make sure all documents away correctly
Call precise every 2nd day they said they will look at documents on the 30th sept and valuation booked for 2/10 .
I am worried sick as our first mortgage was dip with halifax went to underwriters and declined at last minute due to missed credit entry! Even after valuation.
I so worried and feel sick at the thought of precise declining us as we due to move to new build end of Oct and the builders are chasing us for offer all the time.
Any advice or support please be great .
Do you think precise will bother about the fact we do use overdraft ? Only 300 pounds though ?0 -

Just need that mortgage offer now please!
That's not bad going at all. Our solicitor wouldn't start anything until they had received a copy of the mortgage offer from the lender. We're hoping to complete in 3 weeks time as we're in no chain and the house we're buying is vacant. We'll see!!0 -
