Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

They just asked name, address, DOB, how much we are looking to borrow etc normal things really. Just ring the mortgage number up im sure they will update you, im tempted to call again but might pee them off that 'that nutter woman' is calling again and reject me :rotfl: so im holding off haha!
Thanks for the quick reply!
I know the feeling though, I would be happy with something like an daily e-mail update even if it said "No news as of yet" then at least I would know it hadn't been forgotten about. It's driving me and the Mrs insane :rotfl:
I will let you know what the outcome of the telephone call with Santander is. Thanks!0 -
Hello there! Can I join you all. My husband and I are FTB and have not yet found a house were interested in as we want to first see how much we can borrow. Have been recommended a mortgage adviser from a friend and had a chat with him last week. He requested that myself and my husband send him copy of our passports, 3 months banks statements and 3 month payslips. We sent these to him on the 6th August and he said he's going to submit our details on Saturday which was the 9th August and he said it can take 48-72 hours to hear anything. I guess we're just waiting for a AIP or a DIP at this stage. Feeling so nervous and scared! Anyone know how long it can take to get offered a DIP or an AIP.
Thanks x:beer:0 -

Good luck!
How long ago was this? Thanks x:beer:0 -
5th August - more bank statements requested
5th August - Sent over bank statements (which im sure i already sent to Which? Mortgage advisors)
8th August - Gone to full first assessment with underwriter
Have been told by Leeds that it can take up to 3 working days to hear on the first assessment so should hear something Wednesday hopefully.
Fingers, toes, I'll even cross my eyes for you :rotfl:
We've just been told that the decision has been passed from the 'Senior Underwriter to the Division Head but he is in a meeting this afternoon so we should get the final answer tomorrow now. Absolutely no idea why our decision requires the Grand High Poobah but it isn't helping the feeling that my intestines are crossed, along with everything else

Just had L&C contact me saying that Nationwide are asking where July's rent is from our tenants
.
They paid it 3 weeks late so it still isn't showing in our accounts yet. I'm now really stressing that this will affect us getting the mortgage offer. In which case to say I'll be annoyed with the tenants is a huge understatement.
I wouldn't be amused, to say the least. Just have to hope that the fact that the tenants have always paid in the past (even though not in a timely manner) will swing it in your favourShort termLong term

You've not outlined your position as far as I can tell.
You have a property you let out, and you are trying to buy another home?
How about putting your own money into account to cover the rent, cash, until the actual rent comes through.0 -

Yes, we have a BTL property that we used to live in (if we sold it we would have a couple of grand left after paying off the mortgage and fees so we're better off renting it out - as long as people pay the rent!), and we moved so are trying to buy somewhere down South now.
On our bank statements, Nationwide are specifically looking for credit from the letting agents we deal with so I'm not sure how this would help.0 -

31/07 - Mortgage of just over 200k agreed with Chelsea - Mortgage application due to be posted.
31/07 - Chelsea BS call back to say that they had miscalculated my child care costs and agreed mortgage fell to 173k
02/08 - Spoke with Broker friend of OH who felt that he could help
04/08 - Further Discussions with Broker who recommended a Nationwide Fixed product.
05/08 - DIP with Nationwide
05/08 - Full application and documents submitted
05/08 - Valuation Instructed
06/08 - Valuation carried out
06/08 - Spoke to broker who advised that the Valuation was satisfactory and all going well so far.
08/08 - Broker advised that there was an 'Technical Hitch' with the Valuation but not to worry as it will be sorted in about 48 hours.
The worry is killing me!! I just hope that all is OK
Another day, more strange goings on.
Broker emailed to say he was chasing NW regarding last weeks valuation 'Technical Hitch'
at 16:52 I had a text to say that my valuation was being carried out tomorrow - Confusion now ensues!
Spoke to broker who is unaware of new Valuation instruction, I advise that the EA confirmed last Wednesday that Esurv had been in collected the keys for the property (vendor on hols) and dropped them off after he had finished. They even told me the name of the Surveyor as he had to sign in the visitors book and show his ID before the Survey.
Broker then went back to NW and advised them of this, they then changed the story to say that tomorrows Survey had been cancelled and that they hadn't received the original from Esurv:huh:
Broker got flaky and told me that we need to give Esurv 5 days to submit report before NW would chase.
I'm not having it so I called Esurv direct spoke to a nice lady who confirmed that the Valuation had been emailed directly on the day (06/08) so had already been received by NW. I asked her kindly to send the Valuation report again to which she agreed.
At this point decided to speak with NW direct who confirmed to me that the Valuation had been received but as yet not 'Keyed' into the system. According to NW this is the only thing that is stopping it going to offer stage.
I'm totally confused, I just get the feeling that this is not the end of this weirdness
