OK Some good news at last seems that Natwest are happy to accept my original application and just change the product and re-instruct a valuation on the new property...Phew saved a couple of weeks of nervous waiting again. So back to where we were last week on the other property... Fingers crossed all over again.

Winnie... doesnt sound good. i thought the valuation had to be submitted within 48 hours? I can see how lucky i was to get a copy of the valuation the day after!

swanny - thats great news.... at last! least it saves some of the hassle through the process!
  • Winnie my valuation with Halifax was done on a Friday and I recieved my offer on the Monday - but the system had been changed on the Saturday.
  • Spoken to Halifax & they confirmed that at the moment it is taking about a week for them to receive the reports so I feel a bit more positive now:j Fingers crossed...I hate all this waiting haha
  • Is it too late to join in?

We started 'just looking' about two weeks ago, broker (through family friend) got us Halifax AIP. I found our dream house early last week, had to wait on OH coming home from business away, he loved it too so offer made & accepted on Thursday. Met with broker again this morning, he will submit full app today & hopes to have offer out by the time he goes on holiday a week on Friday...is this realistic? We're in Scotland, so am I right in saying we don't have a valuation as we already have the home report? He seems to think its a clean cut case, although explained they can ask for bank statements etc.

The broker we have is brilliant, I was totally lost to begin with but now understand most of it (I think!)

    Fingers crossed for everyone :)
Whats meant to be will always find its way...;)

mt original application took 5 days (1 working week with Natwest). So a week Friday is more than do'able assuming they have all docs they need, payslips, statements etc....
  • Hi all! Me and the other half are hoping for our decision today! It's so stressful hope there's no delays. Good luck to all who's waiting too
  • Just had a call to say that our valuation has been accepted and Halifax have accepted to offer to us, just waiting on the formal documents now :j:j:j:j

same here our valuation is fine and a mortgage has been offered. we are also going with the halifax, just getting some home/contents insurance sorted. been a bumpy ride but got there in the end, hopefully keys on thursday :j
  • Wow that was quick! Congratulation! :j

Question - I gave my solicitors £300 upfront beginning of July, even though we didn't have a mortgage arranged then do you think they would have started the searches or will they start them now a mortgage has been approved?
