Winnie - I was with Halifax too and my valuation was carried out on Monday morning and i heard back from them Wednesday morning and my home buyers report that afternoon. I was very impressed how quickly it all came back.

Progress, I think. Mortgage processing fee and valuation fee have just come out of my bank account.
i am assuming this is a positive?

Was supposed to have an answer from Natwest by COP today, but they've now said they're not even going to look at the valuation report until Monday...

I've had some bad news too. Just been told that the valuation is £25k under the house price. I must say this is a complete surprise as its a new build, its really knocked us for 6. The broker is recommend that we challenge the valuation, which we will do but what are the chances the valuer was £25k out? The builder did say the valuer turned up and asked no questions or looked at plans or anything so wondering of she did it properly.

Oh no I do wonder how reliable these valuations are...The EA said our guy didn't hang around for long. Any chance you're able to knock the price down a bit?

We did ask but they are adamant they won't decrease the price. They feel they will get £350 from someone if not us....nice!

I did explain anyone buying with a mortage will have similar issues, and they said they will be able to get a cash buyer..... so no real wiggle room on price it seems. I must admit I didn't walk away feeling like a valued customer. :mad:

So... I'm annoyed!!! Valuation was booked for 1/8, wasn't done, booked again for 6/8 - didn't turn up, now booked again for Monday 12/8... So I'm still waiting for the valuation to take place over two weeks after it was instructed! :mad:

another update. Valuation was completed yesterday and received the report this morning...

01/07/13 - AIP referred
02/07/13 - HTB app submitted
05/07/13 - HTB app approved
16/07/13 - Full application Submitted
18/07/13 - Woolwich require a letter confirming an old Loan was closed
** 2 weeks of chasing HSBC/Metropolitan to get the letter**
31/07/13 - Letter received and passed to Woolwich
06/08/13 - Valuation booked in 08/08/13
08/08/13 - Valuation completed
09/08/13 - Valuation report submitted - Same as purchase price!

Now wait to see what happens over the next few days! getting closer so everything is crossed currently!

Wow that was quick to get your valuation! I am awaiting on today's post from my valuation on Wednesday & if I don't receive it then I will have to chase. Good luck!! :j

Thanks Winnie... Valuation was done by E.Surve and they sent a link by text for me to download. So now like most people its the long wait to see if/when an offer is sent!?
