8/7/2014 - Broker informed us we have been turned down by Halifax due to my low credit score (due to me being stupid in the past. I have a handle on it now. My partner's credit score is immaculate). Recommended we try Precise as they are known to help people in our situation. We did a LOT of research on them and the main complaint seems to be they have a really slow turn around. But we've decided to give it a shot and told the broker to go ahead and see if we can get a DIP. Still waiting to hear back.
The waiting is killing me, I'm not sleeping well and I feel like my jaw is constantly clenched! Hopefully we'll find out today, fingers crossed.
Good luck! I have a low score as well, I have a DIP but in the past have had one and still been declined at full app stage. Fingers crossed for this time round. I'll try and keep an eye out to see if Precise works out for you, it may be one for me to try too!0 -
Do you mind if I ask who you were declined with?
Apparently Precise are quite good for people who have adverse credit but I should prepare myself to send every piece of paper imaginable to them!0 -

I was declined with Natwest earlier in the year - it was a private application. Ironically, this time my broker got me a DIP and has now taken my full application to Natwest, even though he knows they declined me in the past. But that original application never went to underwriters, it was simply a face to face application where the 'computer said no.' This time, via the broker, details of wage slips, P60, proof of deposit, bank statements etc have been sent to the underwriters. I'm still apprehensive, I have to admit. The waiting is absolutely killing me0 -
Fingers crossed for you then!
My broker normally emails me in the late evening with news so hopefully I'll know by the end of today. (Its the longest day ever though!)0 -
Literally just received an email from my broker letting me know the documents are now with Natwest, and it could take up to 7 days for a decision. Arrrrggghh!
My heart practically jumped out of my throat when I saw an email titled 'Natwest Mortgage Application'!!!!! :eek:0 -
I know the feeling! I always have to take a deep breath before I open the email! Its progress for you though, at least you know the documents are with them now!0
