Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

Don't forget that lenders seem to work in something like dog years. 1-2 days in lender time seems to mean 1-2 weeks in normal human being time. Me cynical? No not at all.0

We're done
9/6/14 offer accepted on house
10/6/14 decision in principle given from broker
13/6/14 full mortgage offer was suppose to be submitted but broker forgot to click submit and then went on holiday (halifax helped by underwriting the dip for us to speed up the full application)
26/6/14 full mortgage application submitted
1/7/14 mortgage offer arrived (happy as broker said we were the first applicants he'd had accepted with 5% deposit)0 -

Will be 2 weeks on Friday since i last spoke to Aldermore, Mortgage advisor told me slight delay or around 2 weeks. But was hoping the full application would go straight to offer. They have been very good up to now, solicitors abit slow as i do have a probate going through on the property also.
Anyone else used Aldermore ? Idea of acceptance rate?

Hi all
We are tying our stomach in knots at the moment. We are with Nationwide and are applying for a little more £'s to move. Not sure if they are going to accept my working as a supply teacher. Although I work regularly I have not guarantees. Anyone know lenders who may be a little more lenient on this situation?

Haha, thanks! Hang in there, there was nothing straightforward about my case either! HTB, Gifted deposit, Scrambling for a broker after first "mortgage advisor" left me in the lurch with an original 28 day exchange deadline, MMR - but you get there in the end(My fingers are still crossed everything goes ok with the vendor and solicitor)
Best wishes with yours!0 -
We've had our mortgage offer! Well, we've seen a PDF of the mortgage offer. Neither we nor our conveyancer have the actual piece of paper but it allegedly exists. Our conveyancer tells us that once they have it in their hands the file will be sent for internal review (take four working days) and then the funds requested for draw down (takes five working days) so it's at least 10 working days until we get the funds. Shame we complete in four! Thankfully we can cope financially but we will have to wait to start the emergency work needed to make the house habitable.0
