01/06 - Mortgage Applied for with Nationwide AIP - Accepted, asked for wage slips.
04/06 - Wage Slips confirmed and application confirmed and sent in
05/06 - Valuation Raised with date TBC
So early stages are end.0 -
Hi everyone, can you decipher this please:
'Subject to approval of the loan, you will receive a formal offer shortly, we have already instructed a valuer to inspect the property'
To me that says that my application is accepted subject to the valuation. But I don't want to get carried away.
Any thoughts?0 -
Called the broker. They still can't find anybody willing to do the mortgage valuation. It's gone to the corporate panel whatever that is and we should hear whilst we are away. Frustrating.0

Hi - we wanted to jump on your thread as a FTB we had an offer declined yesterday - then after a mix up with the halifax and their systems a full offer is out in the post and we have an email to confirm
Good Luck to Everyone Else!:j0 -

Documents sent to them Friday following acceptable
Text to confirm survey Saturday
Our full application went in on Thursday 29th May through our Broker.
Requested documentation in on Friday 30th May.

Now the wait begins... I hope Skiptons turnaround time is fairly quick as the suspense is killing me!!!!!
02/06 - L&C advise Skipton will make a decision by end of the week
03/06 - L&C advise will be another 10-12 working days as Skipton underwriting are well behind
07/06 - Feeling impatient!0 -
No not at all, they have asked for a months bank statements from us both. As well as this they have asked for a letter on company headed paper showing my last 2 years bonus & dividend payments.
Ah ok, pretty much the same then, although they asked me for two payslips showing bonus as part of the initial set of documentation. Good luck anyway,0 -
May 9th - Offer accepted on property
May 12th - application submitted to Nationwide via L&C
May 13th - Email from Nationwide stating "Product Reserved" and application received (AIP)
May 13th - Email from Nationwide stating valuation survey booked for 19th May
May 16th - Request from Nationwide for documentation to support application
May 19th - Email from Nationwide stating satisfactory valuation report received
May 30th - Email from L&C on behalf of Nationwide requesting additional documentation
May 30th - Contact with Solicitor saying vendor yet to provide funds to their solicitors so conveyancing currently at Stage 1 still (!!)
June 4th - Still no progress on conveyancing due to vendor having not provided funding to their representatives
Timeline as it stands! I'm now nervously awaiting further contact from nationwide having provided them with additional documentation they asked for (basically a full months bank statement from each of us) before we get an idea of decision.
Update:
6th June - Logjam with solicitors got freed up, legal checks all now taking place and land registry etc in possession
6th June - contact with Nationwide (I circumvented L&C as not happy with the level of communication I get from the case manager) who confirmed all documentation required had been received and assessed, and that it would go through to final "Plausibility check" which will take 1-2 working days, in other words - by Monday.
7th June - turned 30yr old. Let's hope Nationwide can give me a good present on Monday ;-)0 -
Good luck mate.
We are hoping for a decision next week as well.0 -
28-05 - Still waiting for the date of the valution - apparently the surveyors are really busy in this area at the moment. Our MA @ Natwest is keeping an eye out for us (after me chasing her again yesterday - she'll be sick of me soon! :rotfl:)
I don't think I've ever disliked weekends/bank holidays like I do at the moment!
05/06 - Well, after getting fed up of waiting for 2 weeks we rang Natwest directly (our MA was not being any help) we were told the application was in an 'administrative black hole' due to a simple question that took 30 seconds to fix - our application finally goes to the valuation.
06/06 - All the searches & a few more of the enquiries are through, nothing on them to worry us!
07/06 - Letter from the surveyors, the valuation is booked for the 11th! :j hurrah!0
