Hi all,
We submitted a mortgage app, through a broker, on 24th February. They confirmed they were happy with all our details, the documents we sent etc on 10th March and instructed a survey the same day. The survey was carried out on 13th March, we received a copy of the report 19th March and we received our mortgage offertoday 21st March.
So end to end our mortgage application (with Natwest) took from 24th Feb to 21st March. Hopefully this will give some of you some hope that things can progress quickly and smoothly XXX0 -
Thanks - our apply action was sent on 2nd March, then brokers had forgotten to upload one of my payslips so it got pushed to back of queue again. When we chased again with broker he said should go to underwriters this week (I've been keeping up with timescales on website too). This didn't tie in with when it should have gone to underwriters according to when he said he uploaded docs.
DH called Santander direct and turns out broker didn't upload everything until 17th. To say I'm upset is an understatement and I shall be applying the same timescales to paying his fee.
Just to let you know the website looks accurate. We heard back today - approved subject to valuation! WOOOOOO!!DS - 08/15

Still can't relax but things looking better0 -
So the nationwide application rolls on into another week.
Apparently there is a technical fault with my child benefit part of the mortgage application and they have got their technical team trying to fix it. Just wonder if they are stalling me deliberately bit worried now. Has anyone else had their application held up with nationwide due to a technical fault?
Thanks

Be positive, folks.
We were advised on here that due to my boyfriend's brother paying his wages into his account there would be all kinds of issues.
None at all. 2 days after submitting docs to RBS, mortgage HTB mortgage guarantee approved subject to valuation.
Brilliant service, friendly helpful staff and really fast!!!

I'd agree on the positivity. Whilst there's obviously a lot of people out there having major issues, it's not all bad news. After faffing on the phone with Santander, the in-branch process was really smooth. 3 days from full application to underwriter approval yesterday, & valuation booked for Monday. Spoke to the EA this morning who said mortgage apps are really slow atm for almost all applicants. It's just a waiting gameDS - 08/15

Hi all I am a newby and would love any advise ......
Nervous obsessed anxious oh my lord I could go on forever what I am feeling . My application was submitted with documents requested on the 19/3 the website quotes they are looking at the 18/3 we have been waiting since approx 2/3 which isn't bad really it's just the not knowing we are applying for a 88.8% morgage but I am not sure that owning a limited company with my hubby is going to knock us back the accounts show our salary and divs with a steady profit at the end of the year personal account to be honest we don't really use that much and have been In overdraft though no problem getting out of it we both have excellent credit rating no credit cards just 1x loan with santander and 1x car loan I hate not having any control. Has anyone has anything with santander as a company owner.:o0 -

UPDATE
12th Feb - offer accepted on house
25th Feb - Broker AIP with skipton (previous AIP wit different lender but they upped the interest rate)
2nd March - Broker submits full app with skipton
5th March - All documents sent from broker to skipton
13th March - Skipton ask for outstanding student loans balance via broker, provided info to them the same day.
17th March - call skipton directly for an update to say it will be another 4-5 working days before they can look at our documents
18th March - ask for valuation to be progressed whilst they look at our application
19th march - valuation can be completed on the 29th match
20th march - valuation completed
21st March - good news this morning hear back that we've been approved for the mortgage after our application :j
21st March - the afternoon brings some slight bad news. They've valued the house at 5k (2%) under what we've offered because of the condition of the non attached garage. We also need to arrange a full electrical and damp proof report.
So we're now in the process of getting the extra reports and waiting for a copy of our homebuyers to come through before we ask if the vendors will renegotiate the price.0
