14/03 had phone call from Nationwide saying some of my documents werent showing clearly so popped down to my local branch to get them to send them on my behalf.
Am having doubts now as i realised I mis calculated my Husbands pay I put his earnings as £26k a year but they are actually £24.5k plus any bonuses (not guaranteed)
My Pay was correct as I did it from my Wage slip £16610 and £1617.60 child benefit per annum plus we have got 2 kids (I did declare them when doing the DIP). Does anyone think we will get declined on this basis? we want to borrow £151K on a £185K House. Really worried now
Ok so getting a little frustrated now.
14/03 the documents required were taken into my local nationwide branch as requested as the previous ones couldn't be processed.
17/03 called nationwide in the afternoon to check they had got the documents ok they hadn't said it sometimes takes 7 hours for docs to upload so I agreed to call again next day.
18/03 called nationwide again documents still not there really impressed with the person on the help desk though as they did call the branch with me on hold apparently the docs had failed to upload from the branch but they had re sent sent them.
19/03 email received apparently the detail on hubby's wage slip wasn't clear enough they have requested it again 3rd time lucky lets hope. Can't understand why the branch didn't check this when I was there on Friday it was empty at the time. Oh well roll on tomorrow.0 -

Our application was sent from our branch to underwriters on Tuesday 18th, and Santander website as of last night says they're looking at applications sent to underwriters on 17th. I guess we'll see how reliable that information is in the next day or so. Makes you feel sick doesn't it!
Thanks - our apply action was sent on 2nd March, then brokers had forgotten to upload one of my payslips so it got pushed to back of queue again. When we chased again with broker he said should go to underwriters this week (I've been keeping up with timescales on website too). This didn't tie in with when it should have gone to underwriters according to when he said he uploaded docs.
DH called Santander direct and turns out broker didn't upload everything until 17th. To say I'm upset is an understatement and I shall be applying the same timescales to paying his fee.:mad:0 -
Good luck to everyone hoping for a decision tomorow to avoid a long anxious weekend ... Including me :-)

Nat West have turned our application round super fast.
7th March Phone call made and aip given
12th March full mortgage phone interview
13th March pack received in the post
15th March ID and supporting docs taken to local branch
18th March docs received at mortgage centre
20th March text to say all approved pending valuation which was booked today
Hats off, I think that's super fast, we gave up on Santander who kept requesting documents which we had already sent. Application was done 6th Feb and they are now requesting proof of deposit which is sitting in our current account which they have 3 months bank statements for already! Well done NatWest, fingers crossed we are now on the way to completion.

Thank goodness! Someone who has something nice to say about Natwest! I am panicking my socks off. Do you mind if I ask whether you were offered the same amount in the final offer as you were in the mortgage in principle?0 -
chasing them gives you more than the MA saying no update when actually there is an update though. MA said on monday wasnt sure if they had received transcript of home report yet .. wasnt sure doesnt help me so i called them to ask for update and they advised me transcript received and all o.k. So there was an update MA clearly just didnt want to get it. The people that answer the phones arent normally the ones that are doing the work they are merely just call centre handlers so an additional call doesnt let less work on the actual mortgage done.
If resources are needed to man phone lines, they aren't being spent on processing and underwriting.

I doubt we'll ever agree on this, as you want yours done now and we do this all the time but we would never leave a client wondering what's happening. We may not micro inform them of each individual step in the process, but we give them regular updates and the timescales we expect things to work in.
We also manages expectations at the outset, so they know what is likely to happen and when. If anything changes we update them accordingly. As newbuild specialists we can and do put our clients in a position where they can exchange contracts 28 days after reservation.I am a mortgage broker. Maybe you do keep your clients informed , doesn't mean my mortgage advisor does I'm not dissing every MA out there people can have bad experiences.
No your correct it didn't get me my offer any quicker phoning but it put my mind at rest that the survey was ok. :-)
