Not sure I follow your post entirely, but you will need SA302s from HMRC if you have not already got them. We are going through the same process now.
I have read it back and not sure I follow it either lol . I was wondering if anyone has been in the situation we are in that are on this thread.
All the requested paperwork was sent 3 months wage slips 3 years company accounts sa302s, accountants certificate and also 3 months bank statements for both of us , we got a call yesterday saying they will lend but the maximum is 7k less than what we ideally wanted and can we source these funds and prove ( verbal excepted ) where we got it from so yes we have agreed to this and scanned copy of savings book so we are still waiting . It's so exhausting not knowing and nerve wracking. To be honest I feel like they have pretty much stripped me naked of anything private but I suppose have to make these sacrifices to get your dream home .0 -

14/03 the documents required were taken into my local nationwide branch as requested as the previous ones couldn't be processed.
17/03 called nationwide in the afternoon to check they had got the documents ok they hadn't said it sometimes takes 7 hours for docs to upload so I agreed to call again next day.
18/03 called nationwide again documents still not there really impressed with the person on the help desk though as they did call the branch with me on hold apparently the docs had failed to upload from the branch but they had re sent sent them.
19/03 email received apparently the detail on hubby's wage slip wasn't clear enough they have requested it again 3rd time lucky lets hope. Can't understand why the branch didn't check this when I was there on Friday it was empty at the time. Oh well roll on tomorrow.0 -
Hello again!
Here's my timeline!
15/02 - started viewing houses in Chester le Street, thought we found one we liked - didn't really feel right. want to check it out again
18/02- DIP confirmed through Halifax
22/02 - second viewing. Quickly realised we want to live closer to home
04/03 - promoted and able to afford homes closer to coast
05/03 - viewed house we've been stalking on Rightmove since January
06/03 - initial offer rejected, second offer accepted for £5k less than list price
15/03 - full mortgage application
17/03 - valuation instructed
24/03 - Valuation completed
25/03 - Mortgage offered!
We've been super lucky to have a smooth process so far *fingers crossed*/*touch wood* etc etc.
Good luck to all those still waiting!0 -
AIP - 18/01/14
First viewing - 09/03/14
Offer accepted 10/03/14
Solicitors picked - 11/03/14
Paperwork done and full application submitted with Nationwide - 17/03/14
Valuation - 25/03/14
Valuation was done at lunchtime today (surveyor called me to see if there was anything I wanted looked at in particular) and when I got home from work at 6.30 I'd had a text from Nationwide saying the valuation was satisfactory and they've made a formal mortgage offer which is in the post!!
:j:j
So far I cannot fault Nationwide at all, but I'll reserve judgement until I see the offer!0 -

Can I ask did you apply yourself or through a broker? Just curious as they are offering us more than other lenders. Thanks Kaz0 -

Hi Kaz,
We went through a broker (Countrywide). He's been fantastic and well worth the money.
Our situation isn't straightforward (partner paid hourly & I have an overdraft & AP from 2010) but so far it's been pretty great.0 -

Thanks that confirms what I thought I should have done in the first place. I stupidly applied online off my own back and gave now got declined through nationwide. I have had a chat with an IFA today and he seems really good I think I wasted the last 2 weeks and have lost £447 into the bargain never mind live and learn. Good luck with the rest of your purchase0 -

my partner didn't like the idea of a broker, thought it was a waste of money, but he also didn't understand all the little things that could get you declined so I got one anyway!
They have relationships with the banks and can 'fight your corner' as it were. I had a look on the broker blues thread on here and didn't realise everything that went on in the background.
You can get free ones too but our guy was a family recommendation so I knew he'd done great before.
Wish you lots of luck Kazza with your IFA - I'm sure you'll have that offer in no time!0 -
Personally I would wait longer to put in full application incase the build gets delayed at all.
Oh right would you? I know our DIP is valid until 13/05 so essentially we have until then, I think the broker was speaking about end April/may, when you apply, I know that from here I've saw that it can takes weeks/month for all the valuation and paperwork to be done before you get the offer, so if that happened and say it took a month then would the mortgage offer be valid 6 months from application date or from the offer date?0 -
I'm a first time buyer hoping to purchase a house with no chain so here's hoping it will quick and painless!
20/1/2014 made offer an on a house - offer accepted
20/1/2014 agreement in principle agreed with Halifax
23/1/2014 called solicitor was told letter would be sent out regarding fees terms and conditions..
24/1/2014 meeting with broker full application made, payslips and other paperwork given, paid survey fee.
30/1/2014 survey being done today.
As of now still waiting for letter(s) from solicitor, hoping survey goes well today and awaiting mortgage offer!
Got our keys today hip hip hooray!
Went pretty smoothly to be fair. The worst part was waiting on the official mortgage offer. It's just a waiting game after that.
Good luck to everyone :T0
