Currently waiting on a decision from Coventry. DIP passed and documents all submitted by MA. Everything looks good, but they queried the fact I had sick pay on my last 3 payslips as I was CEV and shielding (but on full pay). Back at work since 26.04 and hoping they accept the reasons for the sick pay and grant us the mortgage. My wife was on flexi-furlough so they also questioned her ‘unpaid absence’ which was essentially a deduction of 20% of the ‘unworked hours’. It amounted to about £7.... 🤦🏼‍♂️

Was supposed to complete on 11.06 but it’s coming around awfully quickly.

Fingers crossed it moves quickly for you! We haven't discussed completion dates yet but I assume my seller will push for before end of June before the stamp duty ends - hoping Coventry get back to us all today!

I got my offer from Coventry today! For anyone waiting on Coventry it took a total of 16 business days for me but I am self-employed so will probably be longer than employed applications - all the best everyone!

This has been the 3rd Sunday in a row I've convinced myself that a final decision will come this week. Submitted our application via a broker on the 13th April but apparently they had to rekey it last week as it was corrupted. Credit check, valuation etc all approved according to Nationwide and broker so hopefully whoever has it is a quick typer, as I can't cope much longer 😂😬
  • Yesterday we received our Barclays offer...... 13 days after the application was submitted (it felt like 300 years 🤣)
  • It will be exactly a month today since our application went in to Santander

been with underwriters since Friday 14th May

Terrified and stressed is not the word

    Hi all

For anyone stalking all the boards like I do, our Barclays offer took 20 calendar days from DIP to approved. E-Surv were the valuers and all was fine, none of the undervaluing horrors going on!

I think there was a bit of to-ing and fro-ing but our broker has been outstanding.

A good broker is worth their weight in gold

    Good luck everyone ❤️

Good Luck ! It's so scary isn't it. When we applied for Halifax they declined because of my boyfriends CCJ so I've had no option but to go in alone until his CCJ is gone (he didn't know he had it) - I can afford it alone but it's so nerving because I've already had a hard check for an application on my credit file. Also getting worried now because I feel like I should have gone into lots more detail then I did over the phone for the DIP, I didn't mention my phone bill, pet insurance or contact lenses. They total to around £65. But scared this is going to go against me now. I was on the spot and didn't think.
I'm not expert, but I think they're more interested in debt and monthly commitments rather than what is classed as "luxuries". Plus your phone etc would of come up on a soft search id imagine. I never told my advisor any of that, she just wanted to know my debt and the amounts I commit to monthly. Good luck!
