This has been a long, gruelling process for my partner and I.
We had our dip done with Halifax 18/5. We then found out perfect home! Offer was put in 26// and got accepted the same day.
Halifax mortgage application went in 05/06. Valuation was done (a day later then they told us)on Thursday last week which was 2/07 and first thing this morning we were told that we have our mortgage offer.

5 and a half weeks later we got it! But was a very anxious and painful wait.

All I can say is keep the faith and it will come!
Good luck to everyone still waiting.

    Hi,
we offered on a house 15/06
we applied for a mortgage with tsb on 18/06. tsb came back and said due to my partner being self employed it had to go straight to underwriter before we could put in full application. we are still waiting to hear back from underwriter. The stress is unbelievable. anybody else gone through this? any idea why it would have gone to underwriter before full application? are we then going to have to wait weeks for the full application to be looked at? thanks and good luck to you all x
Ours got referred too because the recent cleared debt balances weren’t showing up so it looked like we were in double the amount of debt but aren’t as it’s been cleared. Our broker was able to submit the full application anyways though.

Thanks sierraromeo30 glad we aren’t the o my ones however I’m worried as they won’t allow him to submit full application therefore it’s going to take longer and the vendor chose us over an other potential buyer as we aren’t in a chain and thought we would be able to complete faster 😣 hoping they don’t pull out. They have expressed concern due to no valuation yet 🤦🏼‍♀️ Also did anybody instruct solicitor whilst waiting for a decision of the bank??

In the exact same position as you. FTB, HTB and my valuation is booked tomorrow. I’m anxiously waiting. Hope everything goes quick
Fingers crossed for us both today! Really hope this doesn't go on much longer,

Update on my Nationwide mortgage application and timelines for any others who are waiting:
    Application and DIP: 19th June
    Valuation booked: 26th June
    Valuation took place: 6th July
Confirmation of valuation and offer received via text/email: 7th July
We are first time buyers so we had no idea what to expect - so relieved!

thanks for the update and congratulations thats great news!
Can I ask are you going for a New Build? We are FTB, new build with the HTB Equity loan, mortgage also with Nationwide. Our valuation is booked for tomorrow and I'm feeling sick with worry about the timeline from here and getting our offer,
Thank you! And yes, it's a New Build! I think the only difference in our case is we didn't use HTB. I'll keep everything crossed for you - from what I've seen from taking a look online, it seems to be up to 2 days from valuation to offer for Nationwide, but I completely understand how nerve-wracking it is so hold on in there!

Congratulations - We've been waiting for accord since 15th June! Must've been more clear cut than ours!
