I don't know about West Brom, but I'm self-employed and HSBC asked me for:RoloCookie said:I just logged into my account for West Brom, and the current status is:
Application Reviewed 06-07-2020
Valuation Instructed (A valuation has been instructed) - got super excited thinking this means they are happy with paper work but the broker just said its free so they do it anyway nothing to do with paper work!
They have asked us for more documents: Proof of partners deposit and another payslip and p60 from me. I am waiting for more questions as I know they are coming as self-employment. Anyone know what else they could ask for?
1) Additional bank statements going back to January
2) 3 months' business bank statements (I'm a sole trader and use personal account so don't have)
3) 3 months' foreign bank account statements (because most of my income is foreign, but again don't have)
4) SA302 for 2018/19 - I had already given my broker 3 years but she only submitted 2019/20 so she submitted the extra one
5) Proof that my business was still running smoothly through the pandemic - I sent all my invoices from March to end of May, most of which had been paid so could be matched to money going into my bank account.
That was on the 8th of June, but there was a really long queue so they're only assessing them this week. As such, I can't tell you if that was enough to satisfy them yet, but I'll update you if they ask for anything else.1 -
We first submitted our app on 15th June. We've been told by the underwriter to go back and speak to a HSBC advisor about our application due to my partner's self-employed income - earliest appointment... 20th July...Jamaicanmelaff said:
When I called they just referred me back to my broker for updates, so I'm harassing her instead. She said she's had loads of trouble with HSBC atm though either through self-employed cases taking ages or being ridiculously delayed like mine or them requesting documents they've already been sent but she'll keep the pressure on them. She'd best had, it's been almost 4 months since my offer was accepted and my poor seller (who already had a sale fall through last minute last year and had to reduce her sale price by 20k after it wasn't selling after that) appears to have the patience of a saint.heston2014 said:

Oh I'm so happy for you, I know you were quite worried so I'm really glad they've given you an answer. Congratulations!heston2014 said:Our latest update:
Lender: HSBC
23/05 - First DIP obtained
26/06 - Offer on house accepted / Full application submitted (had issues with first application due to fatal error, had to submit a second application)
29/06 - Email with link to upload documents received, uploaded: 1 month's payslip, 2 x P60 for bonus evidence and proof of pension contribution
30/06 - Application forwarded to Underwriting team for review
06/07 - Underwriter review
07/07 - Underwriter queries and received text "Offer Subject to Valuation"; Paid booking fees online.
I was not expecting the call today nor the offer text! Thank goodness, the wait is almost over! Not too concerned about the property valuation as we are borrowing 80% LTV and house prices are way above what we are buying it for, even based on online valuation.
Cannot believe we got an offer! Good luck everyone!
Keep calling them for an update (currently in the queue calling about valuation lol - see I never stop until I get what I need lol)
Lender criteria and available products seem to be changing by the week and on case basis, at the moment.0 -
Ah this is super helpful thank you! My broker keeps telling me it should be a smooth process but I cant see how as there are so many things I read online as to why people get declined and we fall into some! With regards to the business running smoothly through the pandemic, we had three weeks of no work, so we applied for the grant to help support the outgoing bills and the pay subcontractors who still went to finish off jobs that had already fully paid, but business is now busier than ever so I am hoping this doesn't effect it. thanks for your reply!Jamaicanmelaff said:

Yeah, my application went in on 1st May but they couldn't assess anything until the 4th of June cos I'd increased my deposit so that's when I was able to upload documents showing the full amount, so I'll count 4th of June as the full application submission date. I understand self-employed cases require additional/manual underwriting, but it's so hard to keep up and the current wait times are insane. Request additional docs after 4 days but then leave them in a queue for 4 weeks before assessing them?! They just don't seem capable of keeping up with the demand or updating people properly on what they need or what their process is because it keeps changing. I'm so worried they're just going to request more documents from me later this week and leave me hanging on for another few weeks and my seller will pull the sale. There's no sign she's going to yet, but you just never know.Process90 said:

Not long, we put the application in on 2nd July, feels like a lifetime ago though.Lancs1234 said:
How long have you been waiting?SierraRomeo30 said:
No experience but got all my hopes pinned on Accord too! Our AIP got referred and then my broker put the full application in at the same time so we never actually got the go ahead. Fingers crossed!Lancs1234 said:Anyone any recent experiences with accord? We have just been told by our mortgage advisor they're still considering due to it being extremely tight and close to their maximum, however we've just found out they've not taken any of my partners overtime into consideration (She's an A&E nurse and this equates to £8k-10k per year). Very annoying especially when finding out this has been the issue for the last 2 weeks 😒.
Their website states they should accept 60% of any regular overtime too.0 -
The length of time between contact with the underwriters and our Mortgage advisor feels like a lifetime. We've now been informed the underwriters can only be contact by email as they are unable to take phonecalls related to work due to working from home and having no means to record the phone conversations.SierraRomeo30 said:

Hopefully it won't be long now, as its been over 3 weeks.0 -
Hi, does anyone know if the Barclays track it number in anyway corresponds with the case ID number. I’ve applied through a broker and they are saying the don’t have a track it number. Trying to see if I can work out what it might be!
thanks0 -
My two are in the dog house today after one brought in a bird and let it go, then while I was trying to coax the bird out from under the freezer a lizard which the other one must’ve brought in (it’s always her who brings in the lizards) ran over my foot, so they’re currently being told that mummy will be leaving them behind if they don’t start behaving 😂. I definitely cracked up a few weeks into this process. I fear I’ll never be sane againSierraRomeo30 said:
