Haha my dog was making all sorts of attention seeking noises earlier whilst I was speaking to the underwriter! I was making all sorts of hand gestures at him to be quiet or he won't get his garden!Jamaicanmelaff said:
My two are in the dog house today after one brought in a bird and let it go, then while I was trying to coax the bird out from under the freezer a lizard which the other one must’ve brought in (it’s always her who brings in the lizards) ran over my foot, so they’re currently being told that mummy will be leaving them behind if they don’t start behaving 😂. I definitely cracked up a few weeks into this process. I fear I’ll never be sane againSierraRomeo30 said:
Haha same!! I keep telling ours that Mummy and Daddy are trying to get them a nice big house. Lol, losing it!Jamaicanmelaff said:
Haha I've been telling my cats that I'm buying them a nice new house with a great big garden and trees etc for them to play in for months now. They must think I'm either deluded or a right liar 😂😂😂heston2014 said:
Awww I keep telling my dog, “soon my boy, soon!” 😂SierraRomeo30 said:
*sigh* waiting...
So after having some time to reflect on this morning's events, paranoia sets back in... how long does valuation take?
Is this going to be another excruciating wait?
Guess I will be lurking on here for a while until this whole thing is over!

Hi,
Just jumping on as I have seen some good and bad comments! HSBC has had a lot of negativity from what I have seen online so nice to hear some success stories!
I've applied as a sole applicant with HSBC. FTB & 90% LTV!
So far:
Valuation: 20/06
Uploaded docs: 29/06
Application under review: 06/07
Hope for good news soon!1 -
Hello!
thought I’d now join onto this..
Mortgage application in and paid for today with Saffron Building Society at 95% ltv, joint applicant and Both FTB’s with 2 permanent Jobs with myself being a key worker, never been furloughed the entire lockdown.
I did make an earlier thread about my worry about my Gambling transactions on but my Broker has said she’ll write up a reasoning and evidence to back my case, this is my only worry and hopefully I can get around this!Think its a 12 day turnaround to find out a decision and im sweating thinking about it, never knew how stressful and panic inducing buying a house could be!! 😰 any others here using the 90/95% with Saffron?0 -

Can I ask are you going for a New Build? We are FTB, new build with the HTB Equity loan, mortgage also with Nationwide. Our valuation is booked for tomorrow and I'm feeling sick with worry about the timeline from here and getting our offer,0 -

Hi,
we offered on a house 15/06
we applied for a mortgage with tsb on 18/06. tsb came back and said due to my partner being self employed it had to go straight to underwriter before we could put in full application. we are still waiting to hear back from underwriter. The stress is unbelievable. anybody else gone through this? any idea why it would have gone to underwriter before full application? are we then going to have to wait weeks for the full application to be looked at? thanks and good luck to you all x0
