T-mobile have now changed their story, they are now saying that if you got the contract before August you can change to a lower tariff after 6 months as per page 2 of the bill.
Why only before August? I got mine IN august does that count?
I feel really sick about about this. It's so unfair.
I've only sent one cashback claim off so far, is there any point me carrying on sending them or shall I just try and cut my losses and switch to a cheaper tariff? I don't use half the stuff you get with a £35 contract anyway.0 -

Same here,I have also got the same problem, even though my bill states you can move to a lower tariff after 6 months!!!!0 -

They said it changed in August, but having already been told May I wouldn't pay too much attention to it, If it says 6 months before you can change on your bill, i would argue that to customer relations. If they can print your bill correctly on the front of the bill they can sure as hell get the back to say the right thing!!

Does anyone know what the postal address for Orange Customer Services is? Can't find it on the website, they say they can't deal with specific accounts queries by email and, not surprisingly, I can't get through on their phone line.
BTW, is anyone's interested, Vodaphone have let me reduce from £35 to £25/month now- after 8 mths instead of the usual 9. This was a Phones2uDirect rather than TMO deal. Probably should have fought for a lower one (they offered £20 but no texts and only 75mins!) but to be honest I'm starting to lose the will!0 -
I phoned up and spoke to customer relations, stated my case, they then spoke to the manager, said ok we'll lower your tariff. Don't think they had any sympathy, or any care with regard to TMO, on my account it says the contract was taken out by Chitterchatter which i guess supplied the phones to TMO. I think its comes down to the fact that the info is there in black and white on the bill, bit difficult to deny it.
Does anyone who took a contract in September or later have in the Q &A on your bill 'you can lower your tariff after 6months'???
Mine is from September and it does say I can downgrade after 6 months - though I took them up on the £5 discount mentioned earlier for the Flext 35 so now get £120 allowance for £30/month, if you can't get the downgrade perhaps try the discount?0 -
Just had a quick look at TMO web site - it is as if they are still trading.
Is that allowed if they are in administration?0 -

Yes, the whole point of administration is to try to keep the company going which cannot be done if it stops trading.
We haven't found any cashback contracts on there though.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

I managed to get 4 out of 5 cash backs - which upon reflection i'm pretty happy about. The last one will be chalked down to bad experience. All my claims were outstanding with CNM which means i lost £420 with those guys.. I think all these companies are much of a muchness.
Looking back at the last 12 months, I do think the networks and other suppliers should have done more in effect to try and help the end consumers. If all these companies did know about the model companies like Mobile Outlet/Cool New mobile/Phones 2u direct operated, maybe they should have done something sooner.
A point about the T's and C's with T-Mobile, If you have received T's and C's on the back of your bill which states you can downgrade at month 6, you should speak to T-Mobile and force this throguh. They have made an error in sending these terms and conditions and you could argue these superceded the terms you originally received - this would definately be a valid argument.0
