You seem to be misunderstanding something very simple here. For some reason you seem to think that I am complaining about TMO or the circumstances of losing money through them, despite never doing so and denying that I would. I am complaining about the unutterable, vulgar smugness of those who use this situation either to say, "I gambled and won, woo!, look TMO paid me within x days each time, I love my little phone, you other schmucks were suckered and tough!" or those who use it to say, "well, more fool all of you, if only you'd listened to me, all this just shows you how smart I am!"
I honestly don't know what good you think you are contributing to the world. Those who have lost money need to accept it and move on. They aren't obliged to heave your ego up on their shoulders as well.
Cerreno,
Thank you for finally revealing your true colours to everybody.
My own sole purpose has only and always been to try to save people from losing money in precisely the way that you have done.
What matters is not your opinion of me, nor mine of you; what matters is giving other people enough information for them to be able to understand how this whole thing works, the dangers involved, why it all went-pear shaped and the how to avoid making the same expensive mistake that you did.
That is what this site is actually for: saving people hundreds of pounds.
And if doing this with sufficient vigour to get the message across and prevent bailiffs arriving at people’s houses to take their furniture away ruffles a few feathers, including yours, in the process it’s unfortunate but it’s a worthwhile price to pay.
Unless people understand how and why this whole mess happened and take it on board, another thousand of them will fall into exactly the same trap as you did.
If offending you saves just one person £500, I feel it’s worth it. And I’m sure they will, too.
Because in contrast to my own postings, the most conspicuous thing about your own five on this thread is that they strive to assist nobody and exhibit not an ounce of concern for anybody but yourself.0 -
I would forget that route.
Mobile conections were retail based and shredded all of their airtime agreements before they ceased trading.
TMO were web based and the Networks T'Cs & C's were on their website.
By applying for a phone and receieving one and then using it, you have agreed to both TMO's terms and the seperate Networks Terms.
Sorry.0 -
What are your thoughts on this
It basically says that, as TMO have gone so has my contract with the network!!
I agree with that and the quicker this is an option the better, but sadly it's not as yet.
It would simplify things and networks would have to avoid unscrupulous traders for obvious reasons. Hopefully this is the way forward.

Hi guys,
I think it's time to stop all this bickering amongst ourselves don't you agree? The inevitable (administration of TMO) has happened which is no surprise here to anybody. Everyone who was not able to claim all or part of their money back from TMO like myself are all victims of this scam and we should be here to support one another to get over this. I guess there is not much that we can do now apart from moving on with life so why waste breath arguing over something meaningless and irrelevant now??
Just take it as a lesson learnt and never get yourself into one of these TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE BARGAINS  ever again. I'll certainly be keeping away from them. Just think, at least the amounts that most of us cannot recover is not too drastic for people not being able to earn it back. We're not exactly talking about losing 10 grand or something right! I know every little penny helps cos I am not a rich guy either. I still have a hefty mortgage to pay off but the truth is the truth and we must accept it whether we like it or not cos what more can we do??Sulk Sulk Sulk??? Is it really worth it when there are more important things in life waiting for us to do or care about.
I do feel sorry for everybody who was ripped off by TMO and even I get angry with those BXXXXXDS  but sometimes we have to learn the hard way. Best wishes to everyone!!
:rotfl:
attitudes like that encourage con artists to the likes of tmo to continuesly shut--up shop and start the scam again under another name.
we need to make a fuss even take drastic action to stop this happening again.
ive lost £2,4000 -
Seth:- Then more fool you! Why expose yourself to an obviously dubious dealer at ALL unless you were prepared to go high risk - that alone to the sum of £2,400!? They were ALWAYS one of the worse three dealers as anyone who bothered to do basic research would have known beforehand.0

Guys - is anyone else having posts deleted from this thread?? I had one deleted from around 4:20 a.m. which was far from offensive, in fact it had been thanked several times.
Edinburghlass/Browntoa, what's going on ???
I've had posts deleted before that either had references or respones to other posts which had also been deleted, and my post longer made sense once the other posts had been deleted (this was the explanation i was given by the mods)
Don't know whether your post was deleted for that reason....
I think one of Shelby's posts may also have gone...0 -
Hi all,
Just wondering if the voluntary code of practise from OFCOM brought in November last year (i think) is mainly to blame for dealers like TMO, p2ud & simply3G going t*ts up. By bringing these in, its given the distributors reason to stop paying the dealers, therefore starting a chain effect which has affected people on this site and many more. Anyone willing to keep on pursuing this may wish to make the networks or even OFCOM themselves accountable.0
