for the 1st number you have to wait until an operator is free
for the 2nd you have to keep re-trying as the number is constantly engaged.
ive been able to get through on both numbers.

have you been lucky enough to get any information out of them or do they just fob you off?
  • Just received a letter from the bailiff saying that they had received a cheque from TMO, which the court will pay me once the cheque has cleared. The amount is £137 made up of £72 for claim 1 plus £30 MCOL fee plus £35 warrant fee! Unfortunately though TMO have defended my MCOL claim for my 4th and 5th claims.

Can't remember who asked about CCJs but this is the current state of play:

Many thanks for that information. If there are 29 CCJs outstanding, there might be enough to argue with the appropriate Network that they have not exercised due care and should void any contracts.

If you are prepared to accept a normal contract [reduced?], I suspect that they may be flexible.

This not a case of recovering payments but damage limitation for the remainder of the contract.

The phases are : a) keep emailing TMO. b) LBA + MCO (but this does not seem to be very successful. c) Contact your Network (NOW) d) Complain to ConsumerDirect / Bradford Trading Standards e) Complain to OFCOM.

These last two are unlikely to achieve much but they may prevent others being duped.

    Flop

ps the other route is to complain to the local MP [?]. Sometimes this approach can work miracles - sometimes not. Anyone think it is worth it?

    Flop, be careful.
If too much noise is made the company may be forced to close sooner rather than later. This will mean even less chance of getting your money back.
    HTH.
  • Does anyone know how to start up their own internet site? We should set up a anti Mobile Outlet internet site that pops up right in front of TMO official site on people's search results.

That way, we can post our appalling experiences on it and warn people.

    Anyone interested?

Congratulations! It's great to hear a (virtual) success story!! I live in South Wales so visiting Bradford is a big deal for me as it's 4 hours drive but as they owe me nearly £750 for 2 contracts I might have to seriously consider it. I sent them a stinking LBA last night by e-mail. Sent to all their usual e-mail addresses plus sent to the 2 directors and 2 od the sales assistants that I have managed to get addresses for. Obviously I have had no reply but I am hoping for the best. I am very wary of the MCOL route as I have 2 claims to make and not sure if I can cope with the stress. Perhaps a journey to the office would be the only way to go and put my mind at rest. What does everyone think?

Hi abbica, I seriously think you should try visiting their office first ASAP considering the amount they owe you. Maybe that extra petrol and time would give you unexpected surprises and you can avoid the stress of having to go thru the courts even if you are not able to get all of your money back like myself. They are really easy to find. I can give you instructions if you want. But I advise if you are planning to visit, you better do it quick before the business collapses. Also, remember to take all your evidence with you.

My story started last November when I received a letter from TMO stating that my Claim No 4 would not be paid because I had submitted "incomplete bills"
(Claims 1 and 2 were paid late and claim 3 was only paid after the threat of court action)
I had submitted the exact same paperwork for each claim so started sending them the usual bulk emails requesting that they reconsider their ruling.

I had been following all the helpful advice on this site so decided to go down the MCOL route and started a claim on 11.12.07.

They did not defend the case and I claimed Judgement by default on 07.01.08.

Getting nervous of their financial state I applied for a Warrant on 14.01.08.
Would you believe it ! On 17.01.08 I received a cheque through the post from TMO (dated 15.01.08) who must have acted on the Judgement result.

The cheque was for £169 - Two payments due @£72 + Court fee of £25
I have waited to be sure the cheque has cleared and now updated the bailiffs office .

They will now chase my outstanding debt of £55 Warrant fee.
MCOL is easy to use and fairly simple to understand- but you must help yourself by reading their help tutorials :
    http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/onlineservices/mcol/userguide/claimant/information.htm

The help line staff at HMCS and Bradford bailiffs office are most helpful

I would encourage anybody to use MCOL if they have properly complied with their Terms and Conditions, and hopefully get back what is legally due to them.

A stressful time but best of luck to all with outstanding claims .................
