This company is a complete waste of time.
I encourage people not to take out contracts with this company.
I am at the moment waiting for my second cashback and i have phoned them repeatedly and they have given different excuses all the time.
I will keep posting if there is any change or if a miracle happens and they eventually pay me.
Seconded, i will very very cautious going for cashback deals now and never with TMO. They take our hard earned money, shame on them!!0 -
I got my phone through Onecompare.com and have contacted them about the problems of getting the cashbacks from The Mobile Outlet. I have just received this email from Onecompare.com:
"Hi,

claiming your cashback through Mobile Outlet. We are looking for customers
from the west midlands area to supply ITV with information regarding their
problems claiming cashback from the MobileOutlet. This will bring the
situation to the presses attention and escalate the cashback issues
occuring.
If you live in the west midlands area and you would be willing to pass on
details of your cashback problems please reply to this email so that we can
pass on your details.
If you are still having problems claiming your cashback with MobileOutlet
please do not hesitate to contact OneCompare again if we can help any
further.

Unfortunately I don't live in the West Midlands area but if any forum readers do and want to participate then get in touch with them at cashback@onecompare.com.

Hi,
I sent of my cashback in december and met the the terms and condition. the only thing i forgot to do was keep a photocopy of the dispatch note, would this make difference as i now have lost the terms and conditions and proof of receipt?
Anyway its been over 45 days and they still havent sent me a confirmation email, but when i phone them they say my cashback was successful and will send an email to verify this shortly. i asked them how long shortly was ? they said that due to their system failure it could take up to 1 month for the email.
Please can someone tell me what would be the best thing to do in my situation. ive read most of the posts before and i cant remember coming across this situation.
What would the best thing to do in my situation, can some1 please help.
thanks0 -
Today I received TMO defence from Northhampton County Court which led to my request for a default judgement being rejected.
So I now have to proceed with the quest offline. The defence states that all my cashbacks have been paid to me.
The payment for CB#5, which is the one I am pursuing, was allegedly sent to me via a cheque in November, around its expected due date.
The cheque number was quoted in the defence. The cheque never arrived......
What is strange is that I received the following email from a TMO employee a number of days after that date as a reply to a reminder from me.....
"Hi, I am very sorry for the delay in payment, you will receive cash back shortly, and due to a back log it is taking a little longer for us to process the claim. Thank you"
I wonder why they said that it was taking them a little longer to process my claim if they had indeed already sent the cheque, rather than simply saying that they had posted the cheque already?
I wonder what the judge will make of this......
All I want is the outstanding £84 + the £25 MCOL fee, then i'd probably let it go at that
Anyway, I'll report any further progress to the thread as it happens0 -
Now that I have to go to court, I am considering engaging a solicitor.
If I win the case, will TMO have to pay my solicitors costs?0 -
No - the idea of the small claim court is it is informal, and claimants should not need a solicitor.
If it does go to a hearing you will have to pay for this, but if you win the hearing fee will be added to your claim, and they will be ordered to pay you this as well as the current claim amount.0 -
Phoned HMCS today to see what pathetic excuse TMO have given as a reason to defend my claim. TMO say they have paid my cashbacks.
Have transferred case to Plymouth County court.

Hi,
I am about to begin legal proceedings against TMO regarding unpaid claims, and want to ask if there are any previous claimants from Scotland on this thread, as I am unsure whether I should be using MCOL (since TMO are based in England) or a Scottish Courts Small Claims Summons (since I live in Scotland). Any Scots gone after these guys yet?
Another question was regarding multiple claimants - can my wife and I make a single claim, or must we execute our claims separately?
Cheers,
DrS
Just an idea. Doesn't MCOL state "You have an address in England or Wales where documents can be delivered". It doesn't state that you have to live there. Do you have any friends or family who can act as a postbox?0 -
Ey up kltpzyxm !! (flamin' 'ell, I even spelt it right this time
)
The crack is this......
I've been lingering around here, but not posting much. I'm currently considering whether or not to go MCOL route, bearing in mind the apparent lack of success that people are reporting on here. Not from the winning judgements point of view, but more from the lack of being able to collect after judgement. I'm weighing up if losing £84 is worth gambling another £80-£130 to try and collect. In the meantime, I'm continuing to e-mail them to point out how late they are with my last claim.
I'm also contemplating driving over to Bradford and banging on their desks until I come away with a cheque. It would actually be cheaper in cash terms in fuel costs to do that, it'd just mean a 1/2 day off work to do it. I'm beginning to think this may be the better option.
I've been keeping more of an eye on the simply3g thread, as my current 2 ctts. are through them, however, after being previously the most reliable company I'd dealt with for cashback, it appears that now they may be going out of business. Thankfully, I had managed to minimise the "losses" on those two in terms of the contracts I got, the cost of them and the way I bought them(they paid out the quidco money on both), so if I get no cb it will have less of an impact. Still bl***y annoying, but it's the current climate.
So have no fear, my friend. I'm still here, I've not chucked in the towel yet, I'm just contemplating the next move with TMO.......pass the chainsaw someone .............Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
GJ,
Keep your powder dry mate....
Hopefully, the result of my quest will arm you with all the knowledge you need to make the correct decision...0
