2 cats - spending a lot of time stretched out near the windows. Ditto water replenishment, especially with dry food. also taking over the bed.

Yes my cat is also shedding like mad, and drinking lots of water. I opened the back door earlier and she showed zero interest in going out. I was quite worried until I accidentally touched the laser pointer and she seemed keen so I tried and she zoomed around after it!

Eventually she had another drink and strolled outside, promptly laying out in the shade.

I'm just waiting for her to come to me with the "it's hot/raining/cold do something about it" look!

Pup has been struggling, lots of lying about. He absolutely adores ice cubes so we give him when one when he's excessively panting, otherwise we get a damp towel to lay over his back for a little while.

Cat has chosen one spot under the dining room table and has been coma'ing there for hours!

Thankfully it's got a bit cooler now!

our collie dog has really struggled over the last few days - way too hot. she hasn't had a walk for a while - no interest. there was a breeze yesterday and we took her down the pub with us and shes normally very socialable with all the people and she just crawled under a bench and went to sleep.

dylan the cat is spending more and more time outside, he eventually came in at gone 3 this morning, went into his new bed and he's still in it now!1009800_161685297353280_2014732782_n.jpg

Our dogs are shut in with us in the living room with the air conditioning on, cats under bushes in garden.
  • Lily has really enjoyed the sunshine, she's a fair weather cat for sure! Although I had great fun watching her try out all of the shaded areas in the garden looking for the coolest spot! She really loves to play with ice cubes so she's been occupied with them for a few days now, hopefully keeping her cool!

We bought a paddling pool for the dogs so that they can cool themselves down. Female loves the hose and trying to drink water from there whilst male just tries to scoop the water out of the pool with his front paws before digging in the mud bath he's made :D

Wish we could do this with ours - but he is deathly scared of puddles or patches of water. Couldn't care less when it's rain, but obviously puddles are raindrops ganging up on him!!!

:) Our male was scared of water until we went to the seaside and he saw female going in the water, having fun.

He would try to run a mile though if we tried to give him a bath :D
