    Try ringing them on 01923 228 828.

They take their time before sending the payment, and the one time I used them, they sent me a cheque intended for someone else. I rang them and was asked to send the cheque back, for them to send a replacement cheque to me. The replacement cheque still had my name spelled incorrectly, but was close enough for me to change slightly and get it accepted by my bank.

cex are deliberately so slow, and probably mess up their cheques to delay payment by another couple of weeks, so I won't use them in the future.

Hope you got paid eventually, and the full amount.

I've just got payment for a phone sold on 29 July, and only then after several phone calls to chase the payment. They always say that the phone is in the queue for testing, and will not give an indication of when it will actually be tested.

When it did come, the Cex payment was only half the offered amount, ie they regarded the phone as grade C instead of grade A. Yet the phone was brand new, sold on the day of purchase because I found the phone rather basic.
  • Does anyone have any recent dealings with cashmyfone.com? I sent 3 phones to them over a month ago and I have heard nothing since. I have tried calling the 0845 number they display on the site but that is "number unobtainable". I remember another forum user posting a similar question earlier in the year.
  • I have just upgraded my phone. Talk greener will buy my Motorola K1 for £32 - which to me seems like a good deal as the most i reckon id get on ebay is £40 due to condition etc etc and then ill have the fees and effort etc.

Does anyone have experience of them - apparantly you fill out a form, they send you a prepay envelope and then they pay the money into your bank account on receipt of the phone.

To me this means that you are trusting them to pay so I am checking to see how others how found them to be before i commit myself.
