Tashja - glad you have joined us (my font has gone again!!!). Don't pick all your elder flowers. We used to make a really potent Elderberry Wine in the autumn when we were skint and couldn't afford to buy bottles. There have been a few sore heads following an evening session at GB and GGdad's I can tell you. Still have some 10+ year old stuff in garage wine rack that we use for cooking wine! Have recipe somewhere if you want to give it ago over the winter.
CrazyC - just had to have a couple of G+Ts tonight to celebrate your find!
Glad the 'meet' went well girls! Hopefully a regular thing.
Twink - my boys love helping in the garden but one of my honeysuckles is looking worse for wear after it got a bit of pruning by DGS1 at the weekend! Hope the herb garden works out well.
Hester - loved your pictures. I am so a bunny person. My darling Roger was a totally not in the hutch rabbit - either in the house or freedom in back garden. We think next door's dog jumped fence and bit his back leg so badly he had to be put down. Roger used to hear my key in the door when I got home from work and be scraping on back door to come in for cuddles. Since found out that DH's 'asthma' for years was due to allergy to rabbits!!!! Ooooops. I have said (jokingly!!!) if he snuffs it before me I will replace with Roger Mark 2!
Will probably pop back later to see what you are up to. Washing machine on to catch up now with weekend stuff, hopefully another load before bed.
Love

PS We are still eating frozen party food leftovers. Apart from fresh fruit, bread and milk have hardly spent anything for the last fortnight - and most of that from Lidl with their up to 75% off fruit and veg! Tonight we had quiche and salad and I do think the quiche tasted better than it was on party night!0 -
Grannybroon - Would love the wine recipie if you could send it to me - I will be drinking by Autumn as well !!!! :rotfl:
Kyle - Glad LO got his hair done - another thing I found helped was as a bribe/reward for having his hair done I let DS have his own tube of hair gel - only a cheap one (59p) but he loves using it to "spike" his hair in the morning.
Well my fonts and spacing seem ok - hope it lasts

the herb garden should do ok grannybroon the plants are a fair size now, shame about your honeysuckle, never mind it will do well next year, i usually prune mine in the autumn and it comes away fine0

Will look it out and post on here within next couple of days.
Congrats by the way on your pregnancy and new daughter! My DD is due in just under 5 weeks with DGS3 who is already named. Head is really well engaged and Midwife doing home visit tomorrow! We had DGS1 and 2 at the weekend for two sleeps and when we took them home DD had done all the baby preparation, packed bag, Moses basket stuff washed and in situ, car seat ready etc etc. We only have to buy some new muslin nappies for the siccies and probably another new changing mat to keep upstairs (easier for them at night and early morning!).
DGS1 arrived 3 weeks early (DD still working!!!) and DGS2 just over a week early. This one I think is going to come early too!
Hope your pregnancy is going well. DD now feeling tired as boys do act up a bit and her DH very busy at work trying to keep on top of things knowing imminent paternity leave so sometimes coming home late.

Twink - I had a village award for my garden a couple of years ago. I have the early onset of arthritis and having the two boys, for some reason didn't do the usual autumn tidy up. Garden looking very sad, I feel sad about it as I know it is going to be a huge job to get it back. Haven't even thought about bedding plants this year and usually my hanging baskets and bags planted up and hanging. With DGS3 imminent, think GB's garden on a no/no this summer!!! However, now DH retired he is totally doing the grass cutting. For some silly reason I never allowed him to do it because it didn't meet my high standards!

Evening all, back again.
Well, DH has tried to do some work in the house today but unfortunately his legs are playing up so hasn't been able to do much. For those who aren't aware, he's 34, has a below knee amputation on his left leg, and horrid horrid ulcers on the right one. We aren't sure yet whether it will also need taking off. Tis a possibility I try not to dwell on.
Just feeding my stationary addiction on the vistaprint.com website. Some fab offers at the mo.
MethererNot heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.
Baby due July 2018.0 -
sorry to hear about your dh, metherer, i have read that manuka honey is good for ulcers
grannybroon, i try to keep the garden looking good myself though it was always dh's domain, he had a passion for fuchsias, hanging, standard etc, the 8x10 greenhouse was full of them and bedding plants, now i mostly have plants that come up every year, there are fruit trees and bushes, rhubarb, potatoes planted and lots of tomatoes in the ghouse along with dgs2's plants, its bound to be more difficult for you to keep the garden but you are excused this yeardgs's are more important, they grow up so quickly, glad your dd has everything ready for finlay, could be any time now, dont you always forget how tiny they are x

Metherer - be very careful re Vistaprint. Look at the Vent forum - there are some horrendous stories. Not about goods I think but about them taking money every month for some sort of dodgy discount scheme! So sorry to hear about your DH - can't offer any advice but do so admire those who have huge health problems. We have been so lucky and it makes the odd moan and groan about aches, pains, colds etc totally unimportant. I don't know if you want to share information, but what on earth has caused this awful situation? Please don't feel I am being intrusive.

Twink - what a lovely thing to say, my childrens could learn a thing or two from you.
Weather was lovely here today, managed to eat luunch outside. Got loads of paperwork done today, loads more to do but some headway made.
Also changed and washed both kids bedding.
Am going to mooch on here for a while then have an early night.0 -
Twink - I almost cried when I saw the dinky wee things on the washing line on Sunday when we went over. Can't wait. As you say, family more important than things like garden! How is Kyle's mouth - she hasn't mentioned last couple of days so hope it is improving.
Love
