Well
Glad to hear most of you OK today. My washing is still trundling on and I think bed is calling soon. I have this stupid occupational therapy appointment tomorrow. Totally flagged up because I did self-cert for 4 days went back for half a day (under pressure) and then had 10 days off (doctor's cert) for the same illness - thought virus but was chest infection and two lots of antibiotics! I will not be taking prisoners tomorrow. And still don't know if Occupational Health will copy me in to report sent to employers! Will let you know. DH offered to be my buddy but he would lose the rag big time so will go alone! He knows I struggle into work when I shouldn't - as he did before his retirement I might say.

Hi everyone,
Just had a lovely tea prepared by my DS(22). He rumaged in my freezer and found some Argentinian Fillet Steak I found Yellow Labelled in Tesco a few weeks ago, and did it with Crispy New Potatoes, Frozen Peas and a Peppercorn sauce, followed by a GU chocolate pudding. Yummy. Accompanied by Red Wine of course. He does love to cook, but it has to be fancy and special does not like run of the mill cookery. Just the opposite to me.
Has anyone got a recipe for the gooey chocolate puddings like the GU ones? I am sure I have had a recipe like that once. I could use the glass dishes they came in to make them.
Take care

Just wanted to say that my three best friends totally caught up with horrendous health probs at the moment. You have all probably had dealings with the big C? Being able to come on here and share with other friends is a great help. Thanks. I don't always tell you all but not the best of times always.
Love as always

Hello everyone,
My formatting seems to be weirdAnyhoo welcome to the newbies.
((((((hugs)))) to PP and I hope things improve quickly.
I've had a pretty rubbish day. Got up this morning and DD had written for me to call her asap. Daisy our little dog had a cough and a bit of a limp on Sunday and she took her to the vet yesterday. She had a tumour in her spleen & liver. DD got a phone call at work, and went to the vets. The vet said to put her down so DD was there when she died. We both cried so much. I can't believe I will never see her again. She was sooo loved & spoilt. One of our family.
It was a agressive type and it was the kindest thing to do. She had no other prior symptoms beforehand.I have got them to cremate her and they will give me her ashes. I think I will plant some daisy's over them.
We have another little one and I hope he doesn't pine for her. They were brought up together and were practically joined at the hip He'll be home alone now with DD at work.:embarasse Today he tried to get out under the fence, DD said I think he's trying to find her.:embarasse
Weather was nice today and we went towards the coast and went for a walk but my heart wasn't in it. PPen we are in west wales. Catch you all later. ByeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Evening all.
Well done 5 loads of washing cleaned right throught the house, food shopping done, made shepards pie for tea, found time to sunbath and am know just chilling.
For those of you that asked about my ` beat the ice cream man` i mensoned this morning, we have a ice cream van that turns up every home time at school every day! Wouldnt mind but he parks right outside school gates just off the zig zag lines, which then causes a queue on pavement meaning kids end up wakijng on road to get round.
So me and 2 other parents have been playing beat the ice cream for a few weeks now, we get there at 2.50 as he turns up at around 3.00, we all park where he would normally, he then does a three point turn and whilst he is doing so we all move the cars so he is forced to go and turn round again, we do this until he gets fed up and parks way down the road!!!
School have asked if he will only come one day a week, but he said you can stop me, it is awful to watch kids asking parents every day for a ice cream and be told no, as not everyone can afford it, me for one 4 kids at £1 each a day is £20 a week.
It doesnt help when the same kids get one every day, so we have no other way off getting on his nerves ( as a boycot wont happen) other than force him to park away from the school.
It keeps me and my friends amused for 30 mins a day!!! Sad i know LOL.
Right off to watch tv

Ausie - so sorry about your dog. Not able to say proper good bye difficult. Hope you are enjoying Wales.
DLB - sorry but ice-cream van should not be outside school at anytime.
Don't know if you have picked up. Scotland has banned ciggie sales to under 18s from later this year. How it will be reinforced is another thing. I am an ex smoker - 4 years plus due to DGS1 but totally agree. It is lovely to go to pubs and restaurants and not have the smell and fumes coming across.
Now really, really going to bed.
