Hi everyone and welcome to all of the newbies!

The weather here is lovely again and I even had to buy more suncream today, Aldi £2.99 for children's factor 30 and it smells nice. The girls and I all had our haircut today and we look much better for it! Although it did take a while for DH to notice (as usual). To be honest I often wonder if he'd notice if I had a paper bag on my head! :rotfl:
We went food shopping and went over budget...having the girls off school is costing me a fortune, but they have been very good recently. I also managed to get all of my father's day presents for both DH and my Dad in Asda, with a little help from the girls.
Tonight I'm taking DD1 upto church as she's been asked to join the church band. She's really excited about it and even though she's only been playing the sax for 2 years now, she's become very good (proud mum moment). :D

I'm on day 3 of the Paul McKenna book/CD and I've listened to the CD 3 times now and I reckon it's working! I love my food, but I never know when to stop! I can't believe how easy it has been to eat less as I don't seem to be constantly thinking of my next snack/meal. In the past when I've been on diets, I've had to be so strict with myself and it has made me think of food even more. But by using this method even when I've started to feel hungry I've not had to stop myself from raiding the buscuit tin. Who knows, perhaps the CD is having hypnotic powers on me?

We're having chicken fajitas and rice for tea and I'm even going to have a go at making guacamole using my 20p avacados...wish me luck!
    Have a good evening.

    Good afternoon all.

    Specially to you newbies
Not sure how this post is going to look - something's happened to the font. And when I tried to make it better, I think I made it worse:o

Not too bad a day here. DD is getting sooo clingy though. I really can't get anything done. I've finally put the tv on and left the two of them there just for 10 mins of sanity before I launch into dinner.

I've made veggie burgers from Annabel Karmel for tonight - so we'll probably have tears and screams of "I don't like that" before they've even sat down at the table. Unless DD spots she can have mayonnaise - in that case she'll be ok. Mayo seems to make everything ok. Luckily I've got the knack of making it so I know what she's wolfing down.

Take care all - I think I've managed to get double spacing on somehow.!:o

OOOH how do you make it? Whenever I've tried in the past it's come out horribly....

good luck getting DD to eat some dinner... could be worse, when I was a child I went through a phase where I would only eat baked beans, but not ones with cracks in.... I used to spend hours studying them but you'll find if you take a look that most baked beans do have cracks in them - this led to much anguish on my parents' part and a very scrawny spooky pooky!!

Well, this site scares me! Have just logged in to send you all a message and my fonts and sizing were all over the place!!! Now it is giving me green bits too!

Server at work has been up and down more than a roller coaster today so haven't managed to read everything.

Isn't it lovely to have even more joining our family? Welcome to the new posters.

PennyP - hope you start to feel better soon. Please don't overdo things while getting this treatment. If you are still not keeping much food down, how about sips of a high energy drink?

CrazyC - just about gave a yell in the office when I read you had found your money. After the saga of my car keys being lost for 2 weeks (now found), DH phoned work to say he can't find his debit card. Searches high and low and no sign of it. He has phoned the bank and it is now stopped and his balance agrees with what he should have. I would have got what for if it was me!

Have spent a bit of time recently looking at the Vent Forum. OMG there are some horrible posters over there. One guy in particular seems to be making rather nasty and unnecessary comments. Totally uncalled for and I do hope he is stopped soon.

Love and hugs to everyone and hope to find time to pop in again later.

    Love

    GB

Edit - now my font size gone crazy and no spaces between the paragraphs I have typed. Twink - I think that is the same problem you have just had.

    Hello everyone!
Technically I'm "working" hence why I'm on here:D
I've been a real dullard today and don't have a great deal of news. Managed to get a white load done and dried and the bathroom degrimed [it wasn't that bad honest!]
Did pick up two brand new Vileda mop heads from a freecycler last night:j but my two naughty freecyclers haven't bothered to turn up for their goodies so shall be relisting at the end of the week if they don't get a wriggle on. Can't be doing with timewasters...they'll be on my "naughty freecyclers list" and won't respond to their emails again:mad: !!!
So that's the higlight of the last 24 hours...did warn you it would make a gripping read!!
