Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 5/6/7. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good morning everyone! Think it's going to be another cracking day here. Everything in the garden is growing well, and we dug our first carrots yesterday :j We ate tea in the garden as it was so lovely. I love it as you don't need to sweep the floor afterwards ;)

Back to w*** today after nearly 2 weeks holiday    Don't dare think what my in-tray will be like :o

Congratulations to everyone celebrating7_4_13.gif, and hugs11_2_104.gif to those in pain; in fact, hugs all round 23_18_104.gif

Have a great day, Penny. x

Hello all - Penny, your veggie garden sounds great - oh to have a garden!! I'm really excited, have just woken up in my new flat for the first time. Why so early?? No curtains!! But free wireless so hey... I'm not complaining. Just checked my mail and saw read this article which is all about voluntary simplicity, quite relevant to oldstyle moneysaving actually - slightly related to yoga pratice but I think someone will appreciate reading it today:

Morning. Looks like another sunny day for us. I have another day off, so I will have to cut the grass, check on the bees and try and do something with my poor looking vegetable garden.

Yesterday I managed to clean out the shed and garage. Took 2 large trailor loads to the dump. Why did I hoard it in the first place?

I have a car load for boot sale now, so Hopefully on Wednesday evening I will see if I can shift any of that.

Plenty to do today, I think... For everyone else, enjoy your day

    Good morning everyone,

PP - hope you feel better soon xx

PenPen - your veggies sound great, i went out to check my tomatoes yesterday (maybe have a chat like Aime) but half of them had been eten by slugs!!! I was not happy, but have now moved them near my shed on some gravel, so hopefully that will help keep them away.

Not much planned for today apart from walking to school, and im still deciding whether to walk with the LO into town as i have a cheque to pay in and some cards to post. Will see how i feel and what sort of mood he is in too.

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

((HUGS to Haribo and Frugal too, hope things are ok today xxxxxxxxxxx)

    Hi All
    Hugs to PP
Work for me in a few minutes, oh well, another day, another dollar, as the saying goes.
We had pork in a honey & mustard sauce with rice yesterday (someone gave me the jar of sauce) we ate half & I froze the rest. Tonight we're having gammon & new pot & I must make some more cakes tonight as there are none left.
I've uploaded some photo's of Thumper & Ogden onto photo bucket, the link is on my profile, if anyone wants to look.
    Hugs to all.

    morning all

Nice and bright here today, but a bit cooler than yesterday.

Masses to do today, 18 parcels for Ebay, cucumbers to repot, soup to make, and my new Morphy Richards BM arrived yesterday, so will have to have a play with that :D

Work yesterday was near Crewe, and you could see and taste the black smoke from the big fire - scary

Hope everyone has a good day,and penpinch, lots of hugs to you :grouphug:
