Good morning everyone, hugs to penpin, thinking of you, your treatment sounds really onerous, we're all willing you on. ((( )))

I haven't posted for a while but I've been keeping up with the daily thread and what has been happening for everyone.

I'm thankful that my health is improving - still not quite skipping round the hills, but thankful to be able to at least manage three days work per week. I spend much time these days counting my blessings - as you see in my signature. It's a very OS way ro be - to focus on the good that you have and to make the best of it!

So many OSres on here are such an inspiration - take a bow everybody! And it's so good for people to have a forum where they can share good news and go when things are not good to get support and comfort. And some good laughs too.

I was on cat-sitting duties last week for my neighbour. When I was washing out its dish one day I got the feeling there was something at my feet. Looked down - a mouse:eek:  . .... It was undamaged and I wasn't sure if it was alive. Visions of trying to extricate live mouse from house - never an easy task! Prodded gently with long-handled brush - no response - poor thing was a stiff as a board but its wee eyes were open - must have been harried to death. Gave it a funeral in her garden. My old cat Henry is too slow and arthritic to catch anything, thus I'm spared the carnage usually...

    Have a good day everyone,

Hope everybody is OK. Big hugs to PP hope that the drugs do there job as they are making you feel rough.

Off to work again today, not in the best frame of mind but starting a project in a new surgery so that should be interesting. DD is still asleep going to let her have as long as possible as then shes less likely to need a afternoon sleep and that will make things easier tonight. Having issues with my MIL about DD sleep pattern, she maintains that all children need a afternoon nap until they are 3 but most days if DD has a nap we cant get her to bed until 11pm which is obviously far to late I would rather no nap and a 6.30pm bed time Ho hum at least its only 2 days aweek shes looks after her.

Have a good day everyone I'm off to load the WM so it can be switched on when DD wakes up.

Penny-Pincher!! - Hope you start feeling better soon

Well yesterady went much better than I expected so I'm just glad the hard parts over now so I can start getting excited about the new job :D

Didn't get much done last night as OH took me out for a meal to celebrate so it meant that the house and the ironing is still in the same state as the weekend. Need to look at it this evening without fail, but saying that I'm at the dentists this afternoon for the first round of a long range of treatments so I'm not sure how I'm going to feel after that to be honest.

Well back to it, hope your are all keeping ok and take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.

Very hot here already - got the fan on in the office!

Just working my way through any surveys sitting in my inbox and on to Archerfish - only another 44p to pay out! Going to request some vouchers from lightspeed later as I've enough points for £10. Received £10 Boots voucher from pigsback yesterday:T But still waiting for ciao and opinion bar to pay the money into my account - £20 there!

Taking part in some consumer group thing later. A friend got me involved. No idea what it is but it's money!

Seeing bf later, will probably have a light dinner round there. Had a lovely salad last night. Nothing special but I really needed to be eating some veg.

Did about 100 sit ups last night. Still not seeing any changes, but I know if I keep going I will. Also did 50 tricep curls and 40 press ups. Trying to get ready for Race for Life this Sunday. Haven't really done any prep, but as long as I get to the finish line and pick up the sponsor money for Cancer Research UK, that's the main thing.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Mornin' all.

Another lovely day here in sunny Yorkshire and I'm off to sunny work.

When I get back I have to back up my laptop and do some essential maintenance as it crashed last night after downloading the latest anti-virus software - is that supposed to happen? Me mate from work talked me through it and got me working again last night, but I'm going to heed the warning. Had too many computers die before I've extracted my work.

I need to take a packed lunch but I have a bit of a throat and am not feeling very hungry - mind you, it is quite early to be wondering if I'll be hungry by dinner time (lunch time in Brum and Yorkshire).

Might do a bit more ironing while the computer does its stuff later. Might stick a loaf in the machine too.

    Have good days.

    Good morning everyone!

I haven't been here since Friday, as we had DD to visit over the weekend with DGDs (aged 1 & 2) so very busy!!!

Then yesterday DS and I went on a home ed. education trip to Layer Marney Tower (well worth the visit if you are visiting in this area), the theme of the day was the Colchester earthquake of 1884, which was the largest & most damaging earthquake in this country - fortunately has not been repeated here since!!!! Layer Marney tower was slightly damaged although many other buildings were seriously damaged or destroyed.
The view from the top of the tower is fantastic, and the grounds are lovely, so it was nice to have a lovely day for a picnic.

Anyway, hugs to all, especially Penny-Pincher and any others in need or who just wants a hug

    Have a good day!

    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's another beautiful day here. Far too nice to be stuck indoors so DD and I will be heading out soon. Need to get a mini-top up shop at the supermarket but the park seems more attractive right now.

Pen-Pin Your treatment really seems to be taking it out of you at the moment. Hope you start to feel the benefits of it soon. ((hugs))

dlb please remember to tell the ice cream man story when you have time as I am intrigued.

tinkerbell my mum used to "tut, tut" (though not in a nasty way) when I took my DS and DD out for the day, etc without tidying and cleaning first. My view was that the housework will still be there tomorrow but you need to take time out to enjoy life while you can. Don't feel guilty about going out to celebrate.

scuzz nice to see you feeling positive again. Things are on the up.

spendaholic just noticed your sig. What a fabulous reduction in debt! You must be very proud of yourself.

Well, my hair is dripping wet and I haven't had anything to eat or drink yet so must crack on.

    Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx

    Morning all

Had a fab weekend and DH was off yesterday so went out for the day. DD1 has gone away to France on a residental trip for a week - she was so excited bless her. DD2 had an accident at school yesterday and managed to skin her shin and gouge out half her knee - it's very sore and gooey this morning so have kept her home - she needs to leave the dressing off to let it dry out...she didn't sleep well either so perhaps she might nod off in a bit.

Got loads to do today - cut down some trees on Saturday and I need to chop off the smaller branches and get the main ones ready for DH to chop tonight - I like free wood - will save us a couple of nights heating. Finished decorating DD2s room so now need to give everything a wash over before starting to put the furniture back in - got her a new bed and chest of draws that need assmebling first.

Need to defrost the freezer so didn't buy anything bar fresh fruit/veg this week, I shall have to have a dip in and see what I can find for tea.

Hope you all have a great day.
