Most importantly, make sure to have your bollards installed while the offending vehicles are parked there ...
Big innocent smiles when they come crawling for a key ... "Oh but everyone entitled to park here already has a key ..."0 -
If it's really bad put a sign up saying vehicles parked in that spot will be clamped.0

The problem I have with something like that is the height. Someone just manouvering their car may easily hit it because it's hard to see from your driving position.0 -

It should put off a good few of them. Is it different people parking in the spot or regulars? If regulars then a few words should sort it out.0 -
Wow-eee!!
What a great response some of which makes me smile :T
The management company are useless as those that run it don't live on site (but they rent out properties they own) to have to put up with the nuisance.
There are red warning signs up that used to threaten clampers but they were changed to larger versions & the clamping threat removed.
Regularly warning notes are put on the offending cars but we just seem to have a hardcore element of those who have no respect & who are spoiling it for others. It is no joke when the visitors spaces are all taken, mostly by these idiots & someone needs a Doctor or nurse when they can't get parked.
A shame I can't go out under the cover of dark, like a Ninja warrior, because I have lost the use of my legs & if I self propel my wheelchair, to do something, (:D) I may not be able to effect a fast enough get-away :rotfl:
Clearly there is no simple solution so the permanent one, but drastic, is a big note to myself never never never live in this type of arrangement again.
But a really big thanks to all those who have offered help, & suggestions, even though some are a bit drastic - or are they :eek:0 -
Laminate cards. One for each resident, which is a temp parking ticket.
All residents get a key for bollard.
Any resident can lock a car in using the bollard, but should put a warning sticker under the window, telling them to contact the person they have been visiting, for the release key.
So legitimate visitor drives into space, with bollard down, goes to visit person , who if in gives them a laminated pass, and if not they just go.
If a car parks with no permit, for longer than 15 mins, the bollard goes up. There should be a phone number to ring for release if the resident they were visiting seems to have gone out.
The phone number should go to a recorded message on a premium rate number. Saying "Leave a message. We will try to get back to you today"0
